Alan Wake, Remedies first game since Max Payne 2, was originally scrapped for PC for dubious reasons. Apparrently Remedies desire for a PC version never died out, and in late 2011 they announced its coming. With this opportunity, Remedy Entertainment also released a new trailer of the game, dedicated to the PC version which you can view on its steam page.

Alan Wake for PC includes the “The Signal” and “The Writer” DLC packages and all the necessary features a PC game needs, be controlled with a mouse and keyboard or gamepad with both methods working well, the interface has been adjusted allowing weapon switching with the number keys and mouse wheel, its playable on all 3 screen ratios, optimised for quad core cpu's, with adjustable FOV and a 'hide hud' option for those who prefer realism.

Remedy still show further improvements through patches, like allowing the game to played on resolutions smaller than 1024x768, for it to work well on 3 core machines and bindable mouse 4 and 5 buttons.

Are you retarded? It won't become a 360 exclusive.

Remedy wants to release modding tools but they're not sure if they'll be able to yet.

I think this great engine lends some purpose to the game. As far as I know light will be your most important weapon (and ally) in this fight against demons from the dark. You can use light to destroy or distract them and you're save in bright spots.
I like to see something new every now and then and already I am quite convinced that this game will be fresh and original to the core. The engine will make modding even better, since its the first one with ultrarealistic day/night circles in such a high quality. Combine that with the gameplay from the next Indiana Jones and you got next gen at its finest.
