Air Brawl is an arcade dogfighter that focuses on tight controls, crazy weapons and game mechanics that encourages the player to use the terrain to their advantage. The game has been in development for just over 9 months and has its release planned in late Q3 2015 and maybe an early access release before that. Contact me at: Wille.nylle[at]gmail.com

Post news Report RSS Air Brawl play test 3

The third play test has started! The game is very far away from release but i feel that its good to take in feedback during all stages of development so big flaws can be found and corrected before its to late!

THE PLAY TEST IS UNFORTUNATELY OVER BUT THERE WILL BE A NEW ONE NEXT MONTH

The play test is under no NDA so feel free to make videos and articles! I hope you have a good time with Air Brawl!

The biggest addition to this version are two new weapons, the flak cannon and the batapult.
The flak cannon fires projectiles that explode close to enemies faking it a very reliable weapon that works on most situations.
The batapult is very much what it sounds like, a catapult that fires bats. The bats are stuffed in a tight ceramic pot where they are kept until need. They are pretty angry when they get out and will attack the first thing they see.

The UI is also completely overhauled to be a bit more clear and pretty.
Here is a comparison between the new one and the old one.

New UI

There are many other small changes and fixes to make the game more enjoyable.
A few of them are, lighting effects for explosions, new particle systems and less stuttering.

There actually are. Sometimes there just isn't anyone playing. If you have a couple of friends you could always start a game with them and more people might join you!

The only thing I would suggest is a brake system where you could use your wing flaps to slow down the movement of your plane, and possibly when you fly straight down into the ground not go through the floor :)

Hey! It is actually possible to break with the S key. there are no flaps animation for it yet though.
Yeah we really do need to do something about the ground being
"go-through-able"! Thank for the feedback!
