Here is a video showing off the Seven Sword, one of the highest level melee weapons. It swings 7 times with each attack, providing a huge amount of damage and a sustained attack that can keep almost any enemy staggered while you finish them off. The only drawbacks are the huge stamina cost, and that it can leave you unable to react to some attacks.
