We're putting the finishing touches on support for using an Xbox controller with AE Heart right now! Since we haven't done a preview of the Forest dungeon since the graphics were updated, we took this opportunity to show off both the Forest dungeon and the Xbox controls. The left joystick controls the character, and the right joystick lets you aim. Note the arrow in the video that indicates your current aiming direction. There are two aiming modes available; the default mode keeps the aiming direction fixed to the last aiming direction you used, and the other mode only aims where the right stick pointed while it is held in that direction, and the rest of time aims the direction the character is facing. This control scheme also allows for much easier use of more than 2 items. In the preview, we use the Iron Sword, the Icicle, and the Bombs.
The controller is also fully hooked up to all the game's GUIs, so no mouse or keyboard are necessary. That's it for now, stay tuned for more updates!
