Rite of Passage is an old-school point-and-click puzzle-solving adventure game in the vein of King's Quest, Day of the Tentacle, and Monkey Island (or many similar Sierra and LucasArts SCUMM games), with a hint of the animation style of the great Eric Chahi's Out of this World series.

It's a story about a man losing his way, facing the consequences of his decisions, and discovering who he is in the process.

The game features fully hand-drawn and hand-animated reto pixel graphics. We filmed a professional actor to create smooth, high-quality rotoscoped animations.

We plan to release the game in episodes, with each episode being sort of like an act in a play... telling a self-contained section of the adventure, but with all the acts coming together to build the complete story. We will release initially on Steam, for PC, and eventually port to Mac and Linux. For those interested in a DRM-free option, we will also offer direct download of each episode upon release. If all goes well, we hope to release the game for mobile platforms shortly thereafter.

We're also looking to be doing a Reddit AMA in the near future, so keep an eye out for that!
