You play as Amber, a security officer working in a classified laboratory facility near the alaskan border. When your lab comes under attack by an unknown assailant, your main objective becomes survival. Using elements from your environment, escape is crucial, and the odds are against you. But Amber's story is only a small part of Dark Storm. Through episodic content releases, you can explore the whole Dark Storm universe, find out what secrets the government doesn't want to let out, and what your part in all of it is.
Well, with the Switch to the UDK done and us hammering our and learning the engine with the couple hundred video tutorials out we've decided to let the community know how things are progressing and post links to our new website and Forums site for Dark Storm

Well, as many people have noticed recently by the recently broken mirrors and links Dark Storm has gone Indie Games otherwise known as the new Unreal Engine 3 or UDK Development Kit. As assured this game is purely a senior project at our school that our graduation is dependent on and the switch was waved against staying with Source but due to the poor support to newer software that our School has, we've decided to make the progression to a more developed Development kit that has ample support for 3d Max 09+ and Maya without 3rd party tutorials, plug-ins and the frail lack of tutorials available to the community in certain aspects of the Source Engine. But with this switch there is a tool-set of new abilities that have become available to us and we'll be hammering out hopefully a playable version of the game soon. The Game is now completely standalone requiring no requisites to play and is and "will" remain free. Once again I thank the Mod DB community for their interest in Dark Storm and we'll see you guys in a full playable Beta in the upcoming future. Here is our forums so, head over grab an account and see how things are progressing or if your interested in helping out feel free to stop by. ^_^
