99 Levels to Hell is a platform shooter with lots of guns, upgrades, magic, traps and monsters to kill.99 Levels to Hell is a rogue-like, which means surviving is key and every time you play you get a new set of levels to play. When you complete 10 levels, the 10th being a boss-fight you unlock a door to the next dungeon.Hidden in the darkness of the dungeons are shops, casinos and elevators. And if you search the dungeons carefully, you might find secret rooms that unlock more of the story, and free new adventures, you can play as in your next game.

Please, seriously for the sake of all that is logical, stop calling this a roguelike, roguelike-like or even a rogue-like-like. It's got random levels....nuff said, yes? It feels almost like an insult when all you have is random levels and even nudge at it being anything like a roguelike or ish even. As that isn't even procedural.

Now if you were to go so far as to add leveled, chapion, or even monsters with random equipment, you might be able to call it a rougelike-like and if your levels even generated as you progressed through it, you could possibly call it rougelike-like-like. That's my 2 cents so far.

Hi,
Yeah it might be in the boarderland of "likes".
We do still have random item spawn and extra room selection + a weapon levelup and weapon upgrade system.
And there is a dungoen where traps and enemies spawn at total random.
The game selects levels for you every 10th level, but I don't think it counts as being "generated".
But that is also why we call it a platform shooter first.
I love the rougelike genre and think it's elements can be used in just about anything.

Consider it a subgenre for the game, the platform shooter being the main genre, if you "like" ;)
