Since the tech demo release the project temporarily went into in-active development. I have managed to get the project back out of that by sorting out my personal issues. I've now got some very interesting things to show you. This is the new graphics user interface:

The project has been renamed Neuromancer: Revision suggesting that now the game is no longer a remake but an entire improvement on the original 1989 video game. On top of this I have also re-opened the froums here at ModDB so please feel free to hang out there. (See ModDB profile for details)

Good news, the new forum has been uploaded and activated. I still need to set it up though. This will be a proper Forum, not the ModDB thing I currently have. When its ready I'll post a news article.

Due to a server move the game will now have a REAL forum and I'll be having alot of bandwidth to play with now so that means Direct-Links are a go for releases. An announcement will come soon because I am going to be starting up an new business in video games. So look out for that soon.

The flash site has hit a standstill after my other computer died just after 2 days of purchasing it :( Sucks cause I was about to install a DVI dual-monitor link into it.

I still haven't repaired that fucking tablet yet so the only thing I am doing right now is developing the engine and design doco. More news later.

In light of the latest changes, Neuromancer Revision will revert to just plain Neuromancer. This lets me establish a bit more officiality of the fact that the game will now visually produce the novel instead of just re-doing Interplay's game. I was planning to make a very big game but I think that it might be a bit too much for me to handle right now, story driven games are easier and I think what is really more important is nailing a style which works and is more unique than the typical Blade Runner cyberpunk.. one that is more real.

I'm currently reviewing the Technology being used, its looking very promising. I don't want to give anything away just yet.

The website will be changed, I'm considering Flash. I know a lot of people hate flash but I think its is easier to program than PHP. (I've been trained in Flash so It'll be fairly easy to build a PR site)

The ModDB profile will be an actively changing project board as you've already seen. The forums will most likely be shut down as I don't need them and that the comments here on ModDB serve it well. I'll be working out an FAQ as soon as I can, more important though is getting the second tech demo working. Then I can show off the technology a bit better this time. (most notably the AI once I get it working, yes it will have AI.. do you think I'm just going to randomly pile a bunch of NPCs into a street with no good reason?! no way! Plus I think its important to do this to capture the feel of the book.)

You'll find the neuromancer Icon in the gallery. The icon will be the thing you click on to run the game.

The GUI I have posted in the gallery is subjected to change. I'm moving towards a more cinematic and minimalist display as to not destroy the mood in anyway. Mood is critical to the game. The speech bubbles I'm thinking of removing in favour of a more Deus Ex like treatment.

You'll probably start to see some media towards the end of the year once I get some of the technology programed (ARPAS). I'll then make some videos and post them on YouTube, the tech demo won't be like the first one because that first demo was just to prove that I have the technology to make a game. (Even if it was extremely broken and short :D)

The final product should be very interesting if it develops the way I think it will. Thanks for visiting and I apologize for yet another identity change. This will be the last one ;)

Okay firstly, the phases. I've decided to focus on getting the neuromancer story adapted into a video game. I think everyone wants this the most and I think its a great idea seeing as I can really throw a challenge to Mr.Kahn who is apparently working on the Neuromancer film at present.

I think the novel works better as a game btw :D

Now with the forum. I'm considering getting rid of it. The new website that is sitting on my hard drive awaiting fixing will most likely work better as a form of feedback anyway. Plus the comments section here on ModDB seems to work better too :D So I don't think anyone is really going to miss it.

I'm also considering just making the modDB profile one big image :D That'd be pretty sweet. But I think I should get some more content from the actual game before I do that :D.

Thanks for viewing and wish me luck ;)

Has anyone tried posting in the forum yet? I don't know if it is working properly. Only I seem to be able to post at present. Let me know if its not working.

lol.. I'll hopefully have news for everyone in the coming months. ARPAS is coming along nicely. Have fun with the techdemo and don't forget that it won't match the final product very well on account I did a massive change to the game's design. (hence the name change from Neuromancer 2007 to Revision)
