Okay to solve all questions about installing mods you need flmm (free lancer mod manager), This helps to break down hours of manualy installing a mod next you download the mod it will either auto extract or you will have to extract the mod to the flmm mod directory located in C:\Program Files next you will be able to activate the mod with ease by selecting the wanted mod and clicking activate mod, Then play :)
For the next question Good one is wrong..... It has nothing to do with Qoute "well, m8, it seems u have a quite bad net connection. u could use /ping command in chatbox as soon as u get online on one of the server (most of them support ping command) to see if u've got any packet losses (usually the 2nd number). if there r any loses, u have either a bad connection, or some settings on ur connection r wrong.
u could try a few more servers, like ones closer to ur location, it could help. ofc, playing at off-peak hours, like during the night, could also help this issue, in a case of a bad net"
The global server run by microsoft have taken it down which means you cant connect using the list if you know what mod and server you like to play on i sugest heading over to Swat-portal.com
There you should find the freelancer section and go to freelancer servers they have made it easy for you by adding a direct connect method so you cut out the global server this also increases speed :)
Anyway i joined just because good one was anoying me hope this solves all futre problems xD btw may i recomend Crossfire 1.7 I am a player and it is the most dynamic mod out there hope to see you there

Pfft
this is so lame, m8.
Personally, I don't think it is. I will discuss this Via PM. What I don't understand is why the Comments here are flooded with Rubbish about Crossfire rather than more... Interesting Mods.
it seems u r not really paying attention here, m8.
the answer i gave and u've quoted is related to
'well its all of them, no matter wat server i go on, that flashing red thing comes up then 30secs later i lose the connection'
question.
as far as anybody can see, m8, he does have a connection to server (whichever that is and in whatever way he did make it). the trouble IS that his connection is not steady, and my answer is hitting the spot for the most of usual situations.
so, plz, read and think over before u write, m8.
Technicaly the global server has been down for a while so god knows how there getting a list out...... To connect to....
multiplayer for that mod, yes. other multiplay servers will not b accessible, since u need other mods or no mods for them. but, picking one and sticking with it is the best choice u can make imho.
my reply to:
'so i just download a mod and then multiplayer should work? ok, well that sounds easy i guess.'
so that nobody gets confused.
comments system is somewhat boggus.
so i downloaded the crossfire mod and stuff, but how do i actually play the mod? in my start menu under the crossfire part, it only lets me "uninstall" and go to the crossfire web site, i can find out how to actually play the mods, do i have to like copy folders into the original freelancer files or somethin?
u have to activate it using freelancer mod manager 1.31.
