Ten game modes - both team-based and "every man for himself" -- provide even the most hardcore gamer with palm-sweating challenges through unbelievably detailed indoor arenas and vast outdoor environments. As the ultimate techno-gladiator of the future, players will take their fates into their hands, battling against up to 32 other players online in action-packed, frag-filled arenas.

Alright. The look and feel is clearly there. The UI is gorgeous. Sonic's model and that of the enemies are well done too. The level design is also quite good. However, I got stuck relatively often, especially going up the cliff and going across the top of the waterfall. The camera distance text isn't really necessary either. I really liked the transition from island-to the caves-and then back into the forested area. Overall, this is outstanding, especially for a tech demo. The potential for the mod is staggering.

This is awesome. The graphics are close to official Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 (Sonic Next-Gen). You made a great works guys. I hope you will release the game as soon as possible. I cant wait! And I think all tech demo testers think the same.

I'm not sure if I just suck at the demo or what but I can't get past the door where you need to use the switch. Is this a problem or is it intended?

Great job on the mod, however, there still seem to be some issues.

1. Post-Hit Grace Period
In general with Sonic games, after Sonic is hit by an enemy, he is invulnerable for a couple seconds. This doesn't seem to exist here.

2. Homing attack
This works well, sometimes too well. I'm not sure how this was coded, but I seem to homing attack spikes, which is obviously not beneficial.

3. Shock Beam Crabs
I question the wisdom of giving an enemy a tracking hitscan attack, since it seems unavoidable, and thus frustrating.

4. Collision Issues
In some rock outcrops (i.e. the outcrop to the left after the first loop) there is a weird collision problem where one gets stuck between the rocks but can't get out. Probably just a BlockingVolume that was slightly misplaced.

This is all I've found so far. It is late here and I'm not really feeling like trying several times to get through this thing right now.

this is actually a cool feature an pehaps should only be included in the hard mode version of the game an definatly taken out of easy mode
an perhaps only appears at the end of normal mode

Awesome demo! I agree with some of the issues that Shadowfury333 wrote.
Except the homing attack, it doesn't seem as accurate as I was hoping.

A few other things I don't think were mentioned here,

- The springs in the first level leading to the extra life seem to be a little off course.

- The volume for the audio track on the voices are kinda low. There's no option in the sound menu to raise it without also raising the sound effects.

- Going uphill seems to make Sonic a little slower than necessary, getting out of that river can be hard at times because of this.

- It would look cool if during the spindash it had the same bent oval appearance it's had in recent games. That would definitely make it feel like a sonic game.

- Running on water! That would be sweet if you guys had that in the game.

- Could use a screeching sfx and animation for when you want to slow down quickly.

Thanks for all feedback people.

Shadowfury333 posted the same things at ADR forums -answered there.

"The springs in the first level leading to the extra life seem to be a little off course."
It's an extra life, so you have to win it.

"I got stuck relatively often, especially going up the cliff and going across the top of the waterfall."
"The volume for the audio track on the voices are kinda low. There's no option in the sound menu to raise it without also raising the sound effects."
"Going uphill seems to make Sonic a little slower than necessary, getting out of that river can be hard at times because of this."
Fixed.

"It would look cool if during the spindash it had the same bent oval appearance it's had in recent games. That would definitely make it feel like a sonic game."
We want to redo the spinball thing.

"Running on water! That would be sweet if you guys had that in the game."
It's in our plans.

"Could use a screeching sfx and animation for when you want to slow down quickly."
I might find a solution for this.

You probably didn't put the mod where it should be, or you don't have the ECE Bonus Pack installed.

This is a great tech demo with few errors.

- Homing attack is coded well, (You don't home onto spikes, but you home onto springs, enemies, and items).

- Rings are used well (pretty good physics engine + you can pick them up again)

- Spindash codded while running and while standing still

- enemies are challenging and you need to focus on them to destroy them

-enemies are based on old sonic games

-Includes a fun difficult boos (i still can't beat him) Only problem is the room is a little dark.

- great graphics and sound!

You need Patch 3369 and ECE Bonus Pack 1.1 to play this mod.

Ups, didn't saw about the Patch 3369.
Game is excellent. I found some bugs though, but it's a demo after all! "Go a faithful road, comrades!"("Верной дорогой идёте, товарищи!", V. I. Lenin)
