We just got the permission of EA to make Reborn a standalone. What does it mean? It means you won't need Renegade or any other EA games in order to play Reborn. All you will need is to download the client, install and play.

The following is a news statement put out by Dante last night

The merger/acquisition stage will take roughly one week to complete. During this time I will be assessing the status of the modification, as well as the current workload for a stable release candidate. In addition to assessing the modification, I will be communicating with all of the current team members.
More information about the merger/acquisition will be made available after the initial assessment of the project.

This won't mean that much to you guys, the fans, for awhile. Currently it's just organizational things, creating a new FTP and making it more secure, sifting through all the files and getting ready to put everything ingame. Though there will be future benefits to the merger, you'll get more news about them when the time comes.

well according to TD, Nod had to steal the stealth technology from GDI.
GDI never bothered to try and get stealth technology again for some reason.

hum i didn't know about that, Imagin how powerful GDI would be if they'd kept it and restarted on it, Imagin an insisable mammy or even worse, a mammy mk2. If GDI had picked it back up Nod would have been done.
GDI don't use stealth soldiers.. GDI uses Heavy firepower and Nod uses stealth and fast attacks. So it's quite balanced.
