After a frantic and last minute decision to redo the entire cathedral, I can say with pride that it was a good idea. The entire apse end was continually having geometry glitches and I couldn't find a realistic size for anything. In fact, I was getting worried that I wouldn't have enough time to actually finish the outside of the cathedral.
But after seeing a friends cathedral (made in Google Sketchup) and another cathedral posted on the PASF, I realized that my current building was horribly out of proportion. I was freaked out. I didn't think I'd have the time to create an ENTIRELY new cathedral in less than a week when the the amount of time I'd spent on one section was over 2 weeks and I hadn't even finished it! So, this past Wednesday, with every fiber in my body screaming, "Don't do it!", I did what I thought was necessary without hope of finishing it on time. And ladies and gentlemen, it worked. I don't know how, except in the last three days alone I had crammed in over 10 hours of building.
Now I don't want to give the impression that I finished the inside because, to be honest, that'll take much longer than the actual project itself! But I can say that the outside has been completed in a nightmare-ish 45-odd hours. I'm pleased with the results and hope you are too!
