World of Padman Game Comeback of an old friend! news

The good old Anteroom reaches beta and is nearly finished for the WoP Standalone. Glowstar really has done a superb job of dressing old things new. The brownish hue on the cabinets has gone and been replaced with the more creme-colored wood textures and the pink floor is been replaced with chique, dark-grey tiles that cause much less strain on the eye. The big table is no longer made of wood, but of a beautiful, emerald-green, tinted glass. And the crayons have been removed from the table as well! Clearly, the Anteroom has backed away a bit from the "toddler's playcorner" theme, here.

Also, there's a new jump pad, near the red box on the floor; this welcome addition now makes the teleporter reachable not just from the couch, but also directly from ground level! Bots, by the way, really seem to conglomerate around this point. But humans, much wiser in their ways, should really benefit from this multi-vectored approach.

The "team" will iron out the odd glitch, or add an occasional powerup. The final map, for instance, will probably be laced with a PadShield and more PadShards, for when the server is packed. Predicting is difficult, especially when it concerns the future; but we are sure people will flock to this map in great numbers, just as soon as it's released! Which, by the way, will be at the next official release of WoP. Glowstar's Anteroom definitely found its way home!
