3089 is a futuristic, procedurally generated, open-world action role-playing game. All terrain, enemies, weapons, items, quests & more are uniquely generated. You are a promising robotic android design, made by the Overlord, placed on planet Xax. Your performance in common combat, support & intel scenarios is being closely watched. However, will you become too much for them to handle? What else on planet Xax exists that the Overlord doesn’t know about?

Hello fellow swimmers & good news, Spermination has been updated! Of course, you always want to be shooting with the freshest, so grab the latest either from IndieGameStand or BMT Micro!

v1.4 brings fixes to joystick controls (should hopefully fix looking around on all types of controllers). Oculus Rift updates have also been made -- GUI elements shouldn't overlap incorrectly, among other fixes.

There was a rather large balancing tweak made for v1.0, so if you are running an older version, you really want to update as prices were changed & damage tweaks were made.

Are you a Let's Player who wants to play Spermination? Let me know! Send me an e-mail to phr00t at the usual gmail dot com, and I can hook you up. Here is a video of another fellow gamer enjoying himself:

As always, please vote on Greenlight for this title! Want to play? You can buy it on IndieGameStand!

The version on Desura seems to be out of date

Hello Phr00t, I am very interested in your latest game, 3089. I have purchased 3079 on Steam, it was a great game, tho i always found myself struggling against the enemy AI/NPCs flying units. I loved how each weapon had their own unique stats (+/- accuracy, dmg, fire rate, etc). Well back to my question, Is there any way I can get more detail/info on the game? I really want to get it, but the only things that are holding me off is the fact that its only 2 player co-op (love to play with more then 1 friend) and the lack of knowledge I have on the game.

You can check out the homepage, which does have more info here: 3089game.wordpress.com

There are YouTube videos out there of people playing 3089, but due to the rapid development of the game, most (if not all) of the videos are old versions.

I went with a 2-player co-op game since almost all multiplayer use of 3079 was 2-player co-op, so I designed 3089 specifically around 2-player co-op (always see other player's location, joining with your buddy to make a super-robot, can't hurt each other etc.)

Hope you enjoy it! Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you for the reply Phr00t, I'll be sure to check out the homepage. I'd like to ask another question. What would be the best way to purchase the game from? Im not so sure about BMT Micro, and idk if i should purchase it from steam because my laptop is has been having some problems for quite some time, preventing me from having a stable internet connection while downloading games

Hrm... Steam will likely be the best place to get it (once it is out this Friday), since it provides instant updates that automatically download. However, BMT Micro is my next best choice, since it is easy for me to push updates to & 3089 does have an auto-update system built-in with BMT Micro. Desura is OK, but updates are rather delayed. IndieGameStand is another option that gets updates quickly, but you'll have to manually re-download & re-install to get the updates.

I was just about to ask when the Steam release was going to be, I knew it was imminent lol. Awesome that it is coming out there on Friday. Got one definite sale ;)

*Just thought about it, I could get it now, but curious as to steamkeys will be offered to those who purchased elsewhere? Sorry if that question's already been asked.

Steam keys should already be available to who buy the game now. I've uploaded Steam keys to Desura, IndieGameStand, IndieRoyale & GamersGate, and I've sent e-mails to BMT Micro owners!
