Hey all,

Thanks to feedback from the artist @ Swawa3d.com, 3089 got some usability improvements. Take a look at how the item descriptions look now:


Things are much better organized & aligned, making it much easier to read. A "damage per second" value has been added to weapons, which should make comparisons easier. Finally, the box will follow the mouse cursor, and not always be centered on the screen.

I've also "capped" the size of the user interface, so players with high resolution displays won't see the interface stretched across the screen.

The other change you may notice is an option for "Jump Control" in the input configuration section. This will allow you to hold down the jump key to control the height of your jump. This option defaults to "off", which was the behavior before this update. Read about the rest of the updates here: 3089game.wordpress.com

Preparing for an early January release on Steam! I'm also gathering Steam keys to send to current owners, just as I did with 3079.

Can you please consider lowering the accuracy of the AI robots? At this point it's alittle ridiculous that they very rarely miss at any range, even with guns that shoot multiple projectiles.. (We miss like mad with those..)

If your concerned about the game becoming too easy, just slightly increase the damage they do when they DO hit to compensate. I want to be able to get into fun firefights where my movements actually seem to have an effect on the outcome. As it stands, It barely matters what I/we do as they will hit us anyway.

Other than this gripe, the game is great fun!

This is a tough balancing act... some players may be better at dodging than others, and if I make shots easier to dodge, the game will become too easy for some players (because they will just dodge the shots that do more damage). What I think is best is to introduce difficulty levels, which is on my to-do list. However, adding difficulty levels too soon can make game balancing harder :-/

Then there is the option of making the game's difficulty dynamic.. if you are dieing often, then decrease enemy accuracy & damage... but then that discourages players from improving their skills and characters a bit (since the game is being made easier for them).

Anyway, lots of options & I'm not sure which one is best yet. :/

I think one quick easy fix is to have a slider on how accurate the bots are. maybe 1 is the intended accuracy and then the user can lower that if they want.

Yes! All of the planned multiplayer features are not implemented yet, but many of them are and the 2-player co-op mode is rather stable. Check d74g0n's YouTube channel for some multiplayer videos :-)
