3079 is a futuristic, open-world action first-person role playing game. You arrive on a planet experiencing constant war. It is your duty to find out why the warring factions cannot find peace on their own & hopefully restore it yourself. All areas, buildings, items, quests and characters are randomly generated. You will find unique lands & challenges. I hope you enjoy it! "Just want to say again that this is a great game! For those of you who feel like its a minecraft copy just beacuse of the cube textures used you really need to rethink what a game is about! The game play of 3079 is nothing like minecraft it is pretty unique as well as how the weapons all have diffrent stats and colors kind of reminds me of Borderlands. However it is still an original idea for a game and i still play it from time to time. You should at least try the demo and if you like it please buy it and support fruit! :D Still give it a 9/10 ! Hello fellow swimmers & good news, Spermination has been updated! Of course, you always want to be shooting with the freshest, so grab the latest either from IndieGameStand or BMT Micro!

v1.4 brings fixes to joystick controls (should hopefully fix looking around on all types of controllers). Oculus Rift updates have also been made -- GUI elements shouldn't overlap incorrectly, among other fixes.

There was a rather large balancing tweak made for v1.0, so if you are running an older version, you really want to update as prices were changed & damage tweaks were made.

Are you a Let's Player who wants to play Spermination? Let me know! Send me an e-mail to phr00t at the usual gmail dot com, and I can hook you up. Here is a video of another fellow gamer enjoying himself:

As always, please vote on Greenlight for this title! Want to play? You can buy it on IndieGameStand!

I'd love for my games to be on Steam! 3089 is the most likely to make it there, when it gets a bit more developed. However, you don't have to wait -- you can pick them up now, and if you get 3089, you can offer feedback to help shape the game! :-)

this game looks very promising, however with the constant rate at wich they are finished, moved on from then improved with a sequel, i feel as thogh i should just wait untill the next one. as wad67 said, if there was a subscription option to the series, i would be much more willing to buy the game. it looks very good, and i sincerly want to buy it, but i just dont want to keep having to pay for a new game every time there is a sequel since they seem to be coming out very often

maybe not even a subscription option, but atleast a discount for people already owning the game.

believe me, i respect your work, effort, and reasoning for realesing the game in sequels, its just a bit hard to keep up with the rate of new editions financialy i my opinion

Also, keep in mind, 3059 & 3069 were not commercial games, but wad67 decided to skip that fact.

I'm glad you see the promise and progress in 3089 and I do hope you decide to pick it up.

I work very hard on my games & I develop them faster than many gamers may be used to. 3089 is my first sequel to a commercial game, and there are no plans for another sequel after 3089. If you "skip" 3089, you may be waiting indefinitely for the next one that may never come. You will also miss out on the reduced alpha pricing.

I assure you 3089 will be completed, just as 3079 was completed. However, 3089 is far more flexible, so things will feel more polished with the new engine.

3079 was the first commercial game of the series, 3089 is the first sequel & there are no plans for another. Honestly, when I do move on, I suspect I'll be ready to make something completely different, because everything I want in the 30x9 games, I'm really trying to put into 3089. In contrast, I knew there were things I wasn't able to get into 3079, which is one of the reasons I started 3089.

Anyway, I'm glad you are considering picking it up. Let me know if you have any suggestions in the 3089 forum!

After some careful consideration, I have decided against buying 3089.
It is essentially a remake of 3079 and will probably be discontinued to make 3099 and so on.
In case nobody has noticed, this appears to be the general pattern since
Perhaps if there was an option to buy a lifetime subscription to the 3X and perhaps even 4X games I would.

At the present time, the entire 3x series are essentially clones with slightly updated graphics each iteration. There is nothing wrong with this, each new game does add a little more content. However I do not wish to be buying a series of games that are essentially the same thing.

I mean no offence to Phr00t. Programming, managing and maintaining a series of games is rather hard work and I respect Phr00t's dedication to the Idea.

Each 30x9 game has been re-written with new game mechanics, engines, stories and developed until competition. Yes, they are sequels so they share some similarities, but saying they are clones is terribly inaccurate. You are free to not purchase 3089, but you will be missing out on the best 30x9 game yet.

My 7 yr old and I love to play 3079 together! We have it on a macbook pro and an iMac. All of a sudden it won’t work on the iMac. When I open the program, I get a gray intro screen (it says “Welcome to 3079” and “configure more video settings” at the bottom). The screen comes on (looks normal) when I scroll over the “services” option in the 3079 menu bar, but won’t respond when I click anything on the intro screen. I have tried uninstalling 3079, then re-downloading it from Desura (a couple of times). I also made sure my java was up to date. Do you have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated! And thanks again for the great game! When 3089 is multiplayer we will get that for sure!

It's working! I had run the "check for software updates" on my computer and there were none, but when I looked up Java 6 and Apple, I did find an update - and it worked! So sorry to bother you - but thanks so much for responding! And thanks for all your hard work on the game!

Highest Rated (72 agree) 10/10

Blocks does not automatically mean minecraft, and this is not a minecraft clone. from what i played so far, i am greatly impressed, especially knowing that this is just the beginning.

Yet another Minecraft "influenced" game. Awful. Visually, it's awful. There's blocks everywhere. Everything is blocks. If not a block, it's a horrible sprite. The character models and textures look like they were designed by a 5 year old, as well. That's bad enough for me to not get into any other parts of it. There might be decent gameplay, but the visuals take away from anything, because it's trying to be space Fallout Minecraft, which is really awful and has no atmosphere. This isn't original…
