3079 is a futuristic, open-world action first-person role playing game. You arrive on a planet experiencing constant war. It is your duty to find out why the warring factions cannot find peace on their own & hopefully restore it yourself. All areas, buildings, items, quests and characters are randomly generated. You will find unique lands & challenges. I hope you enjoy it! "Just want to say again that this is a great game! For those of you who feel like its a minecraft copy just beacuse of the cube textures used you really need to rethink what a game is about! The game play of 3079 is nothing like minecraft it is pretty unique as well as how the weapons all have diffrent stats and colors kind of reminds me of Borderlands. However it is still an original idea for a game and i still play it from time to time. You should at least try the demo and if you like it please buy it and support fruit! :D Still give it a 9/10 ! Hey all,

Thanks to feedback from the artist @ Swawa3d.com, 3089 got some usability improvements. Take a look at how the item descriptions look now:

Things are much better organized & aligned, making it much easier to read. A "damage per second" value has been added to weapons, which should make comparisons easier. Finally, the box will follow the mouse cursor, and not always be centered on the screen.

I've also "capped" the size of the user interface, so players with high resolution displays won't see the interface stretched across the screen.

The other change you may notice is an option for "Jump Control" in the input configuration section. This will allow you to hold down the jump key to control the height of your jump. This option defaults to "off", which was the behavior before this update. Read about the rest of the updates here: 3089game.wordpress.com

Preparing for an early January release on Steam! I'm also gathering Steam keys to send to current owners, just as I did with 3079.

OK, back to work!

"Indie Game HQ: What has it been like waiting for the Greenlight on Steam?

Jeremy: There is so much to do, I don’t really spend much time “waiting.” Ha! I’m not entirely sure how the whole Greenlight system works or who actually gets approved, so I’m not spending too much time waiting on such an unknown. I spend my time coding up new features to my games instead."
This is exactly how developers should feel about Greenlight, and not advertising their game for 99% of their time.

I will be working at giving Steam keys to people who already own 3079 here (and elsewhere). Please be patient while I figure out all the Steam stuff to accomplish that :-P

Good to hear. I personally dont use and not going to use it ever (drm issues), but you deserve it.
Not like some developers who tried "get to steam or die" strategy with no releasing game anywhere else or whining about their miserable sales without steam (like Race The Sun developers) you worked and worked hard to improve game and even made impressive sequel.
If some game's really receive more attention from gamers - its your games.

Thank you for your support!

I'm not going to be including any DRM in my Steam distribution (unless somehow the Steam client has its own..?).

No. It is a misconception that anything on Steam or Steam in itself is DRM. There are a bunch of games on Steam that are DRM-free, especially indie: Gog.com

Looking forward to adding 3079 to my collection on Steam!

BUT having to use Steam just to download it is already cannot be called easy access. since you need client (mandatory) and stuff. Also that the point to use steam to download same game from which you can just download installer? I can understand peoples wanting to have all game in one place, i respect AND support it - its same with Desura and GOG, BUT to wait when game will be on steam to just run same installer which everyone else already used?
And i taken a look at that list. ALL that games is available on other sources, like Desura\Humble\GOG. I dont see any point steam-hysteria for that games.

Blocks does not automatically mean minecraft, and this is not a minecraft clone. from what i played so far, i am greatly impressed, especially knowing that this is just the beginning.

Yet another Minecraft "influenced" game. Awful. Visually, it's awful. There's blocks everywhere. Everything is blocks. If not a block, it's a horrible sprite. The character models and textures look like they were designed by a 5 year old, as well. That's bad enough for me to not get into any other parts of it. There might be decent gameplay, but the visuals take away from anything, because it's trying to be space Fallout Minecraft, which is really awful and has no atmosphere. This isn't original…
