3079 is a futuristic, open-world action first-person role playing game. You arrive on a planet experiencing constant war. It is your duty to find out why the warring factions cannot find peace on their own & hopefully restore it yourself. All areas, buildings, items, quests and characters are randomly generated. You will find unique lands & challenges. I hope you enjoy it! "Just want to say again that this is a great game! For those of you who feel like its a minecraft copy just beacuse of the cube textures used you really need to rethink what a game is about! The game play of 3079 is nothing like minecraft it is pretty unique as well as how the weapons all have diffrent stats and colors kind of reminds me of Borderlands. However it is still an original idea for a game and i still play it from time to time. You should at least try the demo and if you like it please buy it and support fruit! :D Still give it a 9/10 ! Hello fellow swimmers & good news, Spermination has been updated! Of course, you always want to be shooting with the freshest, so grab the latest either from IndieGameStand or BMT Micro!

v1.4 brings fixes to joystick controls (should hopefully fix looking around on all types of controllers). Oculus Rift updates have also been made -- GUI elements shouldn't overlap incorrectly, among other fixes.

There was a rather large balancing tweak made for v1.0, so if you are running an older version, you really want to update as prices were changed & damage tweaks were made.

Are you a Let's Player who wants to play Spermination? Let me know! Send me an e-mail to phr00t at the usual gmail dot com, and I can hook you up. Here is a video of another fellow gamer enjoying himself:

As always, please vote on Greenlight for this title! Want to play? You can buy it on IndieGameStand!

This game looks really cool. Been playing it for a while and trying my best to get some weapons. Just wondering what did you make this in and howlong did it take? thanks.

jMonkeyEngine SDK -- a 3D engine I very highly recommend if you ever get into development! I've been working on this for about 6-7 months.

You can't change them right now... you use them so rarely, I didn't put them in the configuration list. I can put it on my to-do list though, which is growing exponentially :-P

OH yeah, I know I raged out about this looking like a minecraft scripted mod more than anything, taking a quick peek here and there, I have to admit, it's hardly like it at all...

... Apart from the looks.

The gameplay (including mining) doesn't even feel slightly similair...

I do strongly suggest a minor defense against the demons. I keep dieing once they see me. If I try to run in stealth mode, I just get pulled closer, and half the time there's no way to black their line of sight with me.

It's really hard to get gear on lower levels, it took me a decade to get a decent weapon from my starting kit to actually make a single kill.

Being bombarded from above is annoying, too, especially when your grappling hook or floating device has worn out.

The demons only come out at night (at the start of the game, anyway) -- so you might want to stick closer to buildings and cover during this time.

Also, to find items, look in abandoned buildings for free stuff. You start out with some cash, so you should be finding a Merchant to buy some gear as quickly as possible (go to a Humoid fort for the best results).

I'm working on the other stuff :-P

I bought the game and played nearly the whole day. Most of the time I loved it, but sometimes I died rather quickly or could seperate the neanders from the "humans". kind of frustrating. I would prefer an greater difference between them and more rpg elements!
But this could develop to a great game!

p.s. sometimes i wished it would be a little more like minecraft^^

Pay attention to their heads -- if it is on the top, they are a Humoid (and likely friendly, unless you attacked them a bunch).

Also, fortress building is on the big "to-do" list -- this will include quests to survive in your fortress while it gets bombarded.

I'm glad you are enjoying it, even if it can be a bit difficult! I also recommend using more cover (so you are not as visible to the Neanders).

So much to do though! Got some bugfixes and other stuff on the way.

Erm, i really like the concept of this game, but i have to say it looks fairly bad. I'd change the design of most enemies/allies(the fact that they're blocky doesn't mean they have to look ugly), and i'd make the weapon models thick. Don't get me wrong, i like this; i'm just trying to write a constructive review.

Blocks does not automatically mean minecraft, and this is not a minecraft clone. from what i played so far, i am greatly impressed, especially knowing that this is just the beginning.

Yet another Minecraft "influenced" game. Awful. Visually, it's awful. There's blocks everywhere. Everything is blocks. If not a block, it's a horrible sprite. The character models and textures look like they were designed by a 5 year old, as well. That's bad enough for me to not get into any other parts of it. There might be decent gameplay, but the visuals take away from anything, because it's trying to be space Fallout Minecraft, which is really awful and has no atmosphere. This isn't original…
