3079 is a futuristic, open-world action first-person role playing game. You arrive on a planet experiencing constant war. It is your duty to find out why the warring factions cannot find peace on their own & hopefully restore it yourself. All areas, buildings, items, quests and characters are randomly generated. You will find unique lands & challenges. I hope you enjoy it! "Just want to say again that this is a great game! For those of you who feel like its a minecraft copy just beacuse of the cube textures used you really need to rethink what a game is about! The game play of 3079 is nothing like minecraft it is pretty unique as well as how the weapons all have diffrent stats and colors kind of reminds me of Borderlands. However it is still an original idea for a game and i still play it from time to time. You should at least try the demo and if you like it please buy it and support fruit! :D Still give it a 9/10 ! 0 comments by Phr00t on Dec 18th, 2013

Hey all,

Thanks to feedback from the artist @ Swawa3d.com, 3089 got some usability improvements. Take a look at how the item descriptions look now:

Things are much better organized & aligned, making it much easier to read. A "damage per second" value has been added to weapons, which should make comparisons easier. Finally, the box will follow the mouse cursor, and not always be centered on the screen.

I've also "capped" the size of the user interface, so players with high resolution displays won't see the interface stretched across the screen.

The other change you may notice is an option for "Jump Control" in the input configuration section. This will allow you to hold down the jump key to control the height of your jump. This option defaults to "off", which was the behavior before this update. Read about the rest of the updates here: 3089game.wordpress.com

Preparing for an early January release on Steam! I'm also gathering Steam keys to send to current owners, just as I did with 3079.

OK, back to work!

Ace of Spades is a WW2 first person online shooter.

3079 is a Sci-Fi single player RPG shooter (it does of multiplayer though I haven't played it).

Learn to read instead of looking at pictures and making an idiot out of yourself.

The saved games also save into a folder in the home, isn't it the correct thing to do is hide the folder as in .3079saves with the dot?

The game shows promise, am watching it to see what you do with it.

The CORRECT thing to do is put it in ~/.local/share

Played about 5 minutes of it, 1st criticism - while underwater it needs some sort of oxygen metre that goes down. The diagonal blocks look aweful i really would prefer it to be square i know it would look even more like minecraft but it just looks better (if you don't prefer it please at least include an option to have a blocky world?).

I think it needs an auto save say every x minutes, settable via the config so nothing is lost on crashes too.

's what I thought, 'till I played the demo.

Most awkward experience ever, but kind of awesome.

Yes because minecraft was the first game in the history of games to use blocks...you realise minecraft is a copy of another game...oh you didn't...

Also, another thing I can do is save periodically throughout gameplay. Your game is already saved each time you die... but if your going 3 hours without dieing, I bet you'd want your game saved :-)

Did you get a "Whoops, something broke" message? That'd be really helpful in tracking down the bug -- sorry about your items :-(

I got a 'POOF'

... it just vanished entirely. No warning no nothing.

Hrm... something within Java, or your graphics card drivers may have got messed up temporarily... when my game crashes, it should make a "Whoops" window appear with an error. Well, the next release will save games periodically so you won't have to lose progress, even when these weird, random things happen (which theoretically shouldn't!).

Blocks does not automatically mean minecraft, and this is not a minecraft clone. from what i played so far, i am greatly impressed, especially knowing that this is just the beginning.

Yet another Minecraft "influenced" game. Awful. Visually, it's awful. There's blocks everywhere. Everything is blocks. If not a block, it's a horrible sprite. The character models and textures look like they were designed by a 5 year old, as well. That's bad enough for me to not get into any other parts of it. There might be decent gameplay, but the visuals take away from anything, because it's trying to be space Fallout Minecraft, which is really awful and has no atmosphere. This isn't original…
