3079 is a futuristic, open-world action first-person role playing game. You arrive on a planet experiencing constant war. It is your duty to find out why the warring factions cannot find peace on their own & hopefully restore it yourself. All areas, buildings, items, quests and characters are randomly generated. You will find unique lands & challenges. I hope you enjoy it! "Just want to say again that this is a great game! For those of you who feel like its a minecraft copy just beacuse of the cube textures used you really need to rethink what a game is about! The game play of 3079 is nothing like minecraft it is pretty unique as well as how the weapons all have diffrent stats and colors kind of reminds me of Borderlands. However it is still an original idea for a game and i still play it from time to time. You should at least try the demo and if you like it please buy it and support fruit! :D Still give it a 9/10 ! Hey all -- hope you enjoy my "Let's Play 3089" video! Now, about that v0.66a update,

After processing lots more feedback (thanks!), I’ve made many changes to the way combat works. Combat, overall, should be quicker & more exciting. I’ve increased the “hit boxes” for your shots, so enemies should be easier to hit. I’ve also decreased their health, so they should die faster. Damage indicators, which will display how much relative damage a shot did, will float for a moment on the impact site. The color of the damage indicator shows approximately how much health that robot has left — white is >90% and red is <25%, for example (the exact figure is displayed at the top, like always). However, to compensate just a little for easing combat difficulty, I’ve made Defense more variable & overall, you will take more damage IF you are not dodging. I’ve made dodging more effective, so hopefully, you will take less net damage.

Prices have also been tweaked. Accuracy isn’t as expensive anymore (particularly for launchers), but weapons with decent range will be a bit more expensive.

I spent most of my time, surprisingly, tracking down all of the different & rare ways a robot can “vanish” from the world unexpectedly. The hardest one to pin down & resolve was a result of some optimizations I made earlier. I was able to keep the optimizations & fix the bug; felt good about that :)

I’m not going to say I’m going to get work done on the story (then maybe I will, hehe).

OK, back to work!

Yeah, 3089 isn't on Desura yet. I will likely bring it to Desura, but it is a bit more efficient selling & managing it directly during this rapid development phase. When 3089 comes to Desura, I'll work with the Desura team to get Desura keys to those who want them!

There are a few reasons I've been bypassing destructible terrain. If the terrain cannot be modified, I can more efficiently build the terrain with fewer polygons, which provides better performance & farther draw distance. I can also have larger chunks of terrain, which reduces overhead further. It will be a big help in multiplayer games, too (larger than you probably realize). Finally, if the terrain is destructible, I either need to find a solution for floating trees, rocks & buildings, or just ignore them (like many other games do)...

Anyway, I've been devoting my time to many other new & important gameplay elements.. if I find an acceptable way to do destructible terrain (both for performance & gameplay), I may add it. However, it isn't on my to-do list...

I also like the upgrade point system over 3079's system. I understand it was abused in 3079... the new system, you have to make a choice -- you can't have everything! :-)

Blocks does not automatically mean minecraft, and this is not a minecraft clone. from what i played so far, i am greatly impressed, especially knowing that this is just the beginning.

Yet another Minecraft "influenced" game. Awful. Visually, it's awful. There's blocks everywhere. Everything is blocks. If not a block, it's a horrible sprite. The character models and textures look like they were designed by a 5 year old, as well. That's bad enough for me to not get into any other parts of it. There might be decent gameplay, but the visuals take away from anything, because it's trying to be space Fallout Minecraft, which is really awful and has no atmosphere. This isn't original…
