2x0ng is a procedural puzzle-combat roguelike game rendered in an 8-bit retro style. Pronounce it "TOO-zong". You control a little pixel-person running through a procedurally-generated maze; with your bouncing, color-changing Squareball, you can match colors to unlock new areas, and destroy an onslaught of enemies as you make your way to the exit. The rest of the rules are for you to discover in-game.
New objects and enemies, overhauled level generator, double the number of levels in the main quest, plus joystick support!

I've released version 0.7 of my action-puzzle game "2x0ng". You can download it for Windows or Linux here at IndieDB (links below.) (A Mac version is still in preparation at this time.)
This release features numerous improvements, including: USB gamepad support, expanded level design with new enemies and objects, seventeen varied level "sets" to explore, new color schemes, and increased overall difficulty.
This is a significant milestone for 2x0ng, because 0.7 shows the game nearly ready for beta testing. Virtually all gameplay elements are in place. What remains to be done is heavy playtesting, bugfixing, and additional fine-tuning.
For Windows users, unzip the file, open the resulting folder, and double-click the file 2x0ng.exe.

For Linux users, just untar the file and cd to the resulting directory, and execute the file 2x0ng.bin.

As always, please see the 2x0ng homepage for full updated compatibility information:
