Glest is a project for making a free 3d real-time customizable strategy game. The game is available for several operating systems and can be completely modified using XML and a set of tools. The current version includes single player game against AI controlled players, providing two factions for the player to control: Magic and Tech, each with their corresponding tech trees, units and buildings.

This is the basic data files for SST:LD 2.1. You can not play SST:LD 2.1 with this though. You will need to download a Linux or Mac version of Glest and copy the data files into your instillation. For more links ->
You can download the Linux and Mac versions here on the glest forums. This data package can also be used for anyone who already uses Glest and just wants to be able to keep there Glest installation. Credits go to Titus Tscharntke for changing all the case sensitve files. You will need to install this framwork as well - Downloads.xiph.org

the required mac download at the web site forum will not work. please upload the files here or some other place.....

You will also need to install this - Downloads.xiph.org
Then with the mac version you downloaded you place the files in that, hope it works mate!
i installed the package above, i do not know where to place the mac files though.
Iam uploading a full mac version, should be up soon. This way all you will need to do is install that package.
