In the light and thunder from grandees of the Fist World War, a young soldier negotiates the wet trenches. He is alone, yet through the thick haze of mustard gas he sees the shadows move. Ammunition has almost run out and fatigue is distorting his perception. The soldier tries to find a friendly soul in the river of blood and mud. This is when the real threat appears. A pack of dinosaurs break through the frontline! Grab what you can and head for the nearest ladder. The battlefield above will bring you and escape from the prehistoric threat – but at what cost?

NOTICE:
This game is set in trenches in Germany, therefore it was decided to keep the feel, that the language in the game is German. The language selection between Danish and English in the beginning, is ONLY for the controls. The letters scattered around in the trenches are only bonuses and adds to the feel and ambiance of the game, take a look at them if you understand German or not, because they might hold self-explanatory drawings to aid you in the game.

Take a look at all the nominated games at NGIN:

Finalists at NGIN 2011

NGIN wrote: The premise here is fantastic: you’re a German soldier in WW1, but – oh shit – dinosaurs have invaded the trenches, and now you have to escape. This easily could have been cheesy, but somehow the development team managed to strike a balance between sorrow, fear, and hilarity. It’s delightfully ambiguous as to whether you should laugh at the game or take its premise seriously. Our jury was struck by the beautiful black-and-white world (again, as campy as it is creepy) and the inversion of the typical “shoot-first” FPS gameplay.

No, think of this as a REAL life situation. You are scared. You are not sure whether you will have enough time to aim or not. Your hand s are trembling. No-one is going to help you. See? This game is not an FPS, nor was it meant to be. Plus guns back then weren't exactly built for accuracy.

This game is awesome. I loved the world war one atmosphere. But when i saw whats chasing you, it kind of killed the feeling for me. World war one feeling was great and alive until then. How about instead of that robot dino you have an enemy soldier that charges you with his bayonet! He could even be undead if you still want that strange twist. Just a thought from a world war one buff.

I can honestly say this game was a masterpiece! Provided it is approached as what it is, that is, a short piece on the senselessness of war. I find it sad reading some of the 'reviews' below (presumably from kids) who completely miss the point and are all too trigger-happy to mark it down. It is without a doubt one of the most realistic (in emotion) yet at the same time dramatic depictions of war I have ever experienced, let alone in a game. True, the dinosaurs subtract from this realism, but I…

I don't know if this is just me but running away in a black in white burry game away from what looks like a robotic dino is not fun. I can figure out that I need to find a latter but I always seem to get my ass bitten off before I could. If I could read the signs that might help. When I first saw this I was hoping it would be a nice WWI game but I was wrong.
