Another realistic, 3D war simulation from the developers of well-rated Operation: Flashpoint. Unlike OP:F, Armed Assault will feature not only open-air, massive area firefights, but also tactical operations in various cities, and other urbanized areas. The game is created mostly for the multiplayer mode, but there'll be a big campaign for singleplayer, too (developers stated that the NPC's will have very high AI, their behaviors will include not only shooting and chasing, but also, for example, setting traps).
Armed Assault will focus on team-work, in similar style that Battlefield 2 does. It is supposed to be very tactical, victory will require cooperation and usage of various equipment and vechicles. The weaponry will include submachineguns and rifles (MP5, M4, AK-47), shotguns (SPAS), sniper arms (M82A1, Dragunov, Steyr), and probably other heavy weapons like rocket launchers, and stationary MGs.
Game is scheduled for Winter 2005, so it will probably be released soon. Watch out, all OP:F fans!

How do i install this mod? Please reply
I try so hard to forgive this games flaws but they are too many and too irritating, this game is nothing compared to Operation Flashpoint, it just feels like a really poor graphics update gone wrong.
I wanted to like this..... feels like OPF 1.3beta version. And opf is one of my altime favorite games :/ its a shame....
please don't compare arma to bf2 thats a big no no.

* Precedents:
As you are fully aware there has been a Jurassic park themed mod around ofp and she managed to release a beta.
This was a stepping stone to really see if it was "possible" to have such a theme.
Some might be thinking "this is a combat simulator" and all the other malarkey you get, but thanks to the huge diversity and freedom we all have we can pick and choose what we want to do.
* Objectives:
Moving on, the old team from the JP mod for ofp is almost dead, only myself and Dracula still remain, and with that, we are working on our real project, the one thats always been about for the next gen engine due to its perfect engine, animal class, bump maps, Maya support.
We are one of many modifications that edit for the game "Armed Assault". However we are the only mod creating such a theme for the game.
We started out in September 2006 and have a fantastic development team of around 12 members.
We are creating our very own "artistic impressions" of our material such as dinosaurs, the story and locations. We use he films and books for inspiration to development our own theme and story which will be refreshing new and original.
I must add that we have not or do not plan to copy any material from the Jurassic park films or novels.
Now obviously we don't have a huge amount to show, as the tools are still unavailable but we have managed to get a few dinosaurs into the game engine to just really get a idea for the look. And i must say its going to look very tasty
We have managed to acquire 3rd party help and our animations will be done by a professional cgi animator, as well as other things.
So not a lot to show or tell at the moment, as its the same story with all mods, but i want to get her in the spotlight and raise some interest and hopefully get some fresh blood in the team!

stitburger, you proabaly have a crappy pc like me becuase i am experianceing the same problems. ::
i live in swizerland and the games come out erlier then in america arma rocks btw
