Soldat is an action packed shareware 2d shooter. Don't let the lack of the 3rd dimension get to you, because this it's an action packed game drawing on the roots of many popular titles. Weapons are chosen in a Counter-Strike style, and the weapons are modern machine, and sub machine guns of the CS style. The landscapes and view are vaguely Worms like, except everything is guns blazing realtime instead of turn based. Soldat delivers in the gameplay department as well, packing in 5 game modes from capture the flag to team deathmatch. Sideview maps can be created with the editor. New weapons and graphics can be made along with interface changes.

This version is completely diffirent to the previous one (Ver 5.1) and every weapon has much better shading than ever before. Also the interface, powerup boxes and the majority of sounds (over 70%) have been changed.
Also the maps have been moved to a seperate file that can be found HERE.
Also the WM (Weapon Mod) has been disabled due to lack of usage and preferance to play online. Since now this mod has become fully dedicated for online play.

I did this the theming/style in my mind. I always wanted a good action game where you can fly with mechas and blow things up.

im haveing problemos with this i got everything up and running but the wepons and the soldat person look the same as befor got any tips to fix it?or where do you think i went wrong in the mean time until you answer i will be trying to find out what i did wrong
The .rar file can be openen with winRAR or 7zip or other compressed archive extracting program that can handle the .rar format. Google winRAR and download that or get 7zip here:

Also this mod is a little outdated so I think I might fix the bugs so it will match up to soldat's new version (1.4.2) since the font and few other thing need a small fix. It might come as a patch or maybe even as a whole new package. Depends...
