The next chapter in The Elder Scrolls series, Oblivion is a single-player game that takes place in Tamriel's capital province, Cyrodiil. You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. With no true Emperor, the gates to Oblivion (the equivalent of hell in the world of Tamriel) open, and demons begin to invade Cyrodiil and attack its people and towns. It's up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.
Oblivion features a groundbreaking new AI system, called Radiant AI, which gives non-player characters (NPCs) the ability to make their own choices based on the world around them. They'll decide where to eat or who to talk to and what they'll say. They'll sleep, go to church, and even steal items, all based on their individual characteristics. Full facial animations and lip-synching, combined with full speech for all dialog, allows NPCs to come to life like never before.

I created a new steam group for AOA.
Please support the project by joining. The more people involved & active in the group, the better and more awesome the project will become.
I put this group up due to my surprise on the intrest level this single moddb.com page has received. As of April 23 2008 there have been 1700 visits, ranking the mod 1,876 of 7,350! Nine people viewed the page today. I hope this user group will become a fantastic & easily acsessable hub for the apparently "thriving" AOA community.
Members can discuss the two projects (AOA:01 and upcoming AOA:02) with each other and the development team of one (me so far). Also lend a hand with Open Ended Development or apply with me for a part-time/full time position on the team. Sorry i have not done much atm, due to intensive art collage semesters & finals grinding. Did clear up my schedule for most of the summer tho...
Anyways I look forward to seeing, chatting and fragging with many of you on Steam.

To all those even considering getting Oblivion to PS3: it sux, i would actually rather try to learn my cat how to fly inside a hotair ballon while using a hair dryer on a banana and eating my oblivion disc, rather than getting PS3, and almost every video comparison i've seen, and all games, XBOX 360 got better grapix AND it runs much smoother!!!

I don't own a XBOX 360, i've actually never owned a gaming-console ever, and the only reason to that i'm saying this is that people should not waste there money on waste!

How many of u guys are gonna get Oblivion for the PC? Its gonna have the Knights of the Nine. But then again u can just download the nights of the nine from the internet to a PC version. But the PS3 version is gonna have sweet graphipcs.
Anybody who has any troubles running this game should check out this site Tweakguides.com I have a Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.0 Ghz, ATI Radeon X1300 256 mb and 512 mb DDRII ram and it ran like shit until I TWEAKED the INI file.
