Haunted House v1.4
May 03, 2008 Full Version 0 commentsThis is the version 1.4 of the mod. It fixes a bug where a character casted a spell at the player and nothing happenned.
The next chapter in The Elder Scrolls series, Oblivion is a single-player game that takes place in Tamriel's capital province, Cyrodiil. You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. With no true Emperor, the gates to Oblivion (the equivalent of hell in the world of Tamriel) open, and demons begin to invade Cyrodiil and attack its people and towns. It's up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.
Oblivion features a groundbreaking new AI system, called Radiant AI, which gives non-player characters (NPCs) the ability to make their own choices based on the world around them. They'll decide where to eat or who to talk to and what they'll say. They'll sleep, go to church, and even steal items, all based on their individual characteristics. Full facial animations and lip-synching, combined with full speech for all dialog, allows NPCs to come to life like never before.

I created a new steam group for AOA.
Please support the project by joining. The more people involved & active in the group, the better and more awesome the project will become.
I put this group up due to my surprise on the intrest level this single moddb.com page has received. As of April 23 2008 there have been 1700 visits, ranking the mod 1,876 of 7,350! Nine people viewed the page today. I hope this user group will become a fantastic & easily acsessable hub for the apparently "thriving" AOA community.
Members can discuss the two projects (AOA:01 and upcoming AOA:02) with each other and the development team of one (me so far). Also lend a hand with Open Ended Development or apply with me for a part-time/full time position on the team. Sorry i have not done much atm, due to intensive art collage semesters & finals grinding. Did clear up my schedule for most of the summer tho...
Anyways I look forward to seeing, chatting and fragging with many of you on Steam.

Sean and banshee
you 2 r the biggest noobs of all time
the exe is the icon you click to start the game on the desktop
if u lost it go to the game file you installed the game to and make a shortcut
DO NOT F*#K WITH THE ORIGINAL EXE
Just a little correction, no harm meant; the .exe is the file in the games folder, most often called "<gamename>.exe". The shortcut on the desktop is... Well, a shortcut to this file.
So in other words:
"the exe is the icon you click to start the game on the desktop" <-- That's not true.
Do not fuck with it because...
Not all people buy the legal version.
The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is truly a unique game that cannot be copied, especially due to its non-linear environments, and its excelent variation of choice. For one thing, it is truly a great upgrade from the predecessor...Morrowind, which did carry some serious issues.
Oblivion lets you become any type of class you want, and this is because you can create your own, derived from a selection made up of nearly hundreds of different skill types, just waiting to be evolved upon.
It also allows you to become any type of character you wish to be: well, almost any...
You may choose to become the most infamous thief/assassin, and make money off death contracts...or you can become a knight of courage and light...devoted to the Nine Divines of Tamriel...or, you can jsut become a herb gatherer who sells mushrooms and flowers and seeds for a living: if you are not the fighting type.
What you can't do is really become a filthy piece of work that goes around doing the MOST dirty deeds imaginable...but never the less, you can become a ghost hunter!
When it comes to the environments...however, especially the dungeons and forests, everthing turns into a very atmospheric, living and breathing (If it is raining), world.
And I must say, that if you venture into one of the dungeons...especially if you have only meager supplies and weapons, and the gamma tuned low...then the game will turn into one of the most horrifically scary pieces of work in history...(just remember that despite the fantastic outdoor music...the dungeon themes could be a little scarier sometimes), yes, this means that some of the monsters and zombies (YES I said zombies), ae plain disgusting: so not at all for the weak at heart.
The sound is brilliant, it is just a shame that it doesn't have EAX creative labs support...and Jeremy Soule's score has become famous for its ability to be listened to endlessly.
All in all, Oblivion is a masterpiece with a few bugs that haunt the person with a not so high-powered CPU...and a few features that could have been better.
