Nexus: The Jupiter Incident

At the dawn of the 22nd century the conquest of space and the colonization of the solar system is being monopolized by several huge and ambitious megacorporations. Although extremely delicate and vulnerable, a balance is maintained by these companies. It has now been 60 years since the terrible catastrophe that befell Noah's Ark, the first colony ship of mankind.
At the very edge of the solar system the companies make a discovery which will shift the technological advantage and upset the balance. And so a new conflict is born: "The Jupiter Incident". You are Marcus Cromwell, a young but already famous captain. With your legendary spaceship Stiletto you find yourself in the middle of the conflict.
“Nexus – The Jupiter Incident” is what we call a TFS: a Tactical Fleet Simulator. It’s like nothing you’ve played before. The strong, elaborate story takes you from mission to mission and allows different approaches. It’s up to you which tactics you choose to bring each mission to a good end. A reward system enables you to repair, upgrade and enhance your ships depending on the approach you chose. Mission briefings let you roam through an unbelievably accurate 3D animated star map system.

man I love this game until I got to the mission where like they lost contact with one of the fleets and you get sent in and like the ships were takin over my the mechs its one of the last misisons where you place the sensor bouys so the rest of ur fleet cant jump in with out em.... that mission was hell I still cant get it sadly
Yeah its a fantastic game, only thing is its a little to good! i've got a 1.2ghz athlon with a geforce mx 5400 or summat, and it runs fine most the game, but on the last big battle it just died, so i had to turn everything off lol.
I loved playing Nexus, but because it's just so visually stunning it be super nice if i could just view a replay of the action. I mean it's already setup... all it needs is for the replay to be saved and just get rid of the menus, that should be enough for starters.
I've always been frustrated with lots of games where i'd just like to sit back and watch, it seems like this option used to exist ages ago but just faded away into oblivion, sigh...
Could this perhaps be asking for a mod! :)
renderings are excelent. Have the game and my reaction was wow (toned down a hole lot but wow) sheilds are beautiful. Includes mod tools with game which are hard to learn the operations of but not just thrown together.
i love this game, i only have 1 problem...such a big universe..i wana GO where i chose, if only for a little while..be able to dock with staions...buy new ships....maby transport cargo..add that this would be a frickin RPG paradise, along with its combat already rockin ass....*wishes for a RPG go anywhere mod*
it's awesome, i have it, if you want an awesome looking game, with an intense singleplayer mode and some excellent multiplayer aspects, get this game! the explosions are stunning and the aesthetics such as ships and textures along with the dynamic lighting are flawless!
