The Idea for 1099: First Crusade is to provide a simulation of the 12th Century (1100s). The game will be a player driven world that's historically accurate and realistic, a world that is Immersive and dangerous, the world would provide you with many Challenges, but many rewards as well.
As the game will be in a First person perspective, this shall allow for fierce melees and skilled shots killing the most heavily armoured knight.
This shall allow you to do as you wish as long as you got the skill and resources. You will be able to design your own castles and buildings to suite your needs, through the use of blueprints of which can be customised to the players demands (And Player created for buildings)

We have been quiet for a while but we have been perfecting our terrain. It is generated when the game starts giving players a unique game every time.
We have 4 terrain types: hills, mountains, plains and scattered. We plan in adding more in the future. If anyone has suggestions to improve our terrain let us know! The textures have not fully been added yet and the full height of the hills/mountains is not yet finished.
We will have different areas of texturing: tundra, arctic, desert, rainforest, moors and plains. This does not just effect the texturing it effects the weather, time and the items on the terrain and also gives you access to items only available to that area!
In the next few days we will get our character walking about the terrain once the texturing has been finalised and we will post a video so you can see what it is like!
