In Battlefield 2, you are a part of a major conflict between the United States, China and fictious Middle East Coalition. You are armed with modern weaponry (different for every side of conflict) and additional equipment. Player can drive any of 30 vechicles that are implemented ingame - such as tanks, helicopters, hovercrafts, fighter jets and more. The game engine holds about 100 players on one server. In-game reward system makes players increase their ranks, starting from recruit, and unlock new weaponry, equipment and more. The environement will be fully destructible (including material penetration feature), and the gamers will fight in different areas, from cities to forests.

Damn... after 3 days working i finally got it to work.. I had a NVIDEA GForce4 440 video card and it wouldn't work. So today i told my mo to buy me a new videocard and she came home with the ATI Rdeon 9250 but i already read on the net that that woulddn't do the trick but i got it to work finaly... so come on and upload that mods;)
This game is my game... although the rank thing on multi makes me mad sometimes... i rock the highest settings with style and class haha

Mobo ASUS A7NE Deluxe SLI
Graphics: 6600 GT 128MB PciXpress (AOPEN)
RAM: 2 GB DDR 400 (4x512) running in Dual Channel Mode.
HDD: 200 SATA Maxtor
OS: Windows XP Media Center Edition, Also works with Professional.
At this moment I play BF 2 at its higher settings without lag/crashes/freezes. The game is amaaaazing!
This game is kick ass but I figured you jump was to freaking high. Other wise its kick ass!

BF2 is so awesome, but the vehicles arent really that great. They should put some apaches and F-22 Raptors in that game, but otherwise BF2 kicks ass!
Great game, entertaining for the odd 10 minute rampage or for a 6 hour session at a lan party with your friends.
The sounds work well with the engine to produce a realistic feel, they are not glorified like in most shooters.
Graphics only go so high before it's not worth upping them due to performance loss, they do the job, i gave them 7/10. Graphics arn't the point though, right? :D
Gameplay is great, the online stats + medal system is one of the main reason i keep coming back, trying to gain as much experience as possible and look impressive in battle :P like an MMO.
Definately worth a look, a very popular game.

If it is a gundam mod you're looking for in Battlefield, look not in BF2, but BF1942. If only more people knew about this mod. It's Gpack, about a fifth of the way down this page. Awesome mod, didn't get anywhere near the credit it deserved. Planetbattlefield.com
