Feb 18, 2008 Full Version 0 commentsCurrent version of the game (alpha). Just to allow people to test TSA. As it doesn't work yet with network, you can't really enjoy it.
Overview :
Free multi-player turn based strategy game in 2D. It opposes 2 teams in a death match. Each team is controlled by one player. Its simple graphics allow it to be pure strategy, a bit like chess. It's not a fast and spectacular game, even if sound and special effects will be added soon.
The current version is not a online version. You have to play on the same computer. I only released this version to show how the project will be. Please tell me if you like (or dislike) this game and especially why.

As i want to spend my time on a new project i'm trying to finish TSA quickly so there is no much time left but the game wont be fantastic.
And sorry for the pause in developing, i had computer problems and lack of time.

The controls are in french ;) and they'll be in enlgish in the next version of the game !
You just forgot a key : "Enter" to deselect an unit !
The squares the units can move depends of the weapon, but it's too much complicated and not good for the gameplay so I'll remove it. And in the next version you'll be able to play more than 2 units by turn on some maps.

Oh, thanks for the clarification, I didn't know about that stuff ^^, you should be able to deselect with right mouse button IMO.
Yes, thank you for the idea ! The use of enter isn't fine. BTW you'll be able to select an unit without deselecting the current unit in v1.0
It's like a fps game but chess style, current gameplay goes like this: each round you get to move two of your dudes 6 squares and shoot an amount of times that different depending on what weapon you have at any time during your move (allows you to utilize cover > shoot > cover tactics), the goal is to eliminate the opposing team.
If you're wondering about the controls (they're all on Spanish, you need to fix that Cokill3r) I can give them here:
Left mouse button: Select the dude you want to use
Arrow keys: Move
Space: Shoot
Backspace: Swap to the weapon you are standing on
