Hey, first post here on Mod DB, and first time i've ever really have even used a Mod for any type of game. Props on the DoWPro Mod, its enjoyable, anyway though. I had a question about a Mod that might already be out or one that no one has thought of yet, if you think its a waste of time then so be it. lol
I remember when I started playing RTS games (when I was younger) and always loving one aspect of them, mainly a race. The only example I can really draw upon at the moment is a game that came out for Xbox (unforunately I can't remember title), but in the game you could play as a race of Dark Elves with a female commander named Lucretia (I believe), and the reason I bring this up is that they had a unit called the Ghoul Orcs. The reason I loved the Ghoul Orcs is simply due to the fact that they were a suicide unit. I was truly hoping that the Chaos Marines in DoW would have this, but alas they don't (to my knowledge) and then I got thinking of how much fun it would be to have a entire seperate race based off the idea of sacrifice (on a army wide level).
I do not have WA or DC yet (I just recently started playing) but if anyone knew of a mod or thought of this as an interesting idea I would enjoy feedback. I have no Mod knowledge (programming wise) but I believe this could be entertaining and an amazing add-on for the DoW universe. I had some idea's but my lacking knowledge of the game system (PC version and Table-top) are horrible for this series so I would have no real input when it came to numbers and the likes. Anyway though, my idea put simply would be to have an army that is mainly set around the destruction of other armies via sacrifice and pain.
Examples:
-A specialized unit that could sacrifice one of their own for a suicide attack, doing massive damage if several are sacrificed. No Reinforcements for unit though.
-Another specialized unit that could turn opposing soldiers of a unit into ticking time bombs that would eventually damage anything within a certain area. The Units Leader being the only one able to use such ability on a variable time table.
-Infantry Units are capable of sacrificing their own members to become stronger (originally starting at an Eldar type of weakness physically), and as more are sacrificed the units become stronger for a period of time.
-Etc. Etc.
The leading thought of this army would be based on a combination of Spike Decks, and Goblin Decks (if you have knowledge of old magic: the gathering). As i play, I'm noticing that what irks me about DOW is 40k really doesn't fit rts -
the campaign is excellent except that the story batlles, each races assault, as soon as i stabilize that first wave, i can effectivley build infinitely and never lose. a little disappoionting.
now if my honor guard or other accomplishments thus far determined what i could use ...
isn't that the point of a campaign?
so i was thinking -
perhaps for my own scenarios at least:
does anyone know how to:
make the squad cap use for ALL units not just CURRENT units (i.e., deaths count)
not only would this avoid endless games
but factions like Chaos and Necrons that are supposee to be frightening BECAUSE they can draw on effectively unlimited reinforcements (in the case of the necrons, i mean in that scenario)- should not share that ability with EVERYONE - which they currently do.
secondly,
is there a way to make strategic points give a 1-TIME bonus to requisition?
i also wish that campaigns kept research -like the old homeworld game- persistent
or perhaps made it a reward for missions -
but that is a whole 'nother ball of wax.

What are you talking about? I seriously doubt you know what youre talking about, because the whole point of having CD keys is for security reasons, to stop people lending the game out or to stop piracy, thats why all the CD keys are DIFFERENT.
For example:
One day my cousin came round, with an interest in dawn of war. I hooked the laptop up to the internet and installed the game and Winter Assault on my laptop (My no CD crack feature meant I could play the game without a CD on my computer) then logged the laptop into the Dawn of War lobby system, as I went to do the same with my computer, a message saying "The system could not log you in, another player is playing with the same CD key." Appears. This is also the same for Dark Crusade.
