In eager anticipation of our upcoming Alpha release, we've decided to show you some of the latest additions to the art repository. First, the work of one of our long-standing artists, Amish Coelho (known to the community by his alias, Shield Bearer), who has been responsible for not only quite a few of our buildings (in fact, the majority of our revised Celt structures), but the vast majority of those fancy buildings icons you've been seeing over the last 10 months. Here's one of his latest finished products, the Iberian corral:

Another recent addition that you've likely spotted in our screenshots is a contribution from Matthijs de Rijk (known commonly as EmjeR): the Iberian merchant ship. Matthijs is a famed modder of the Age of Mythology community and Wildfire Games, and has been working with us for quite some time. You probably know him best for his beautiful collection of Persian and Roman ships and several of our prized props. Here are some screenshots of his latest work:

Another fine assets. ;-) Will the fourth alpha feature a more feasible multiplayer system? Intending to play with some friends. Also, a search/listing engine of current running 0 A.D. indie servers/games would be nice.

No, and it might take a while as we want to focus on making the game fun rather than making it easy to find other players just to have a boring game ;) . Especially since it's not really hard to connect to another player, the hard parts are finding other players and setting up your router/firewall. That said, it would definitely be nice if things would be easier, so if someone with a good grasp of programming and some ideas about how to implement such a system is reading this we would appreciate your help :)

the multiplayer about it could go ON GameRanger, as Aoe2 is and many many many other games are plus that's really populated (gameRanger) :D

You can take a look at Teeworlds ( Teeworlds.com ) and its system of finding/listing servers. Setting one's firewall isn't quite tough (at least on XP/Linux).

It's already added in the developer's version - after some weeks it'll be in the next alpha, it seems.

It's our intention indeed :) (Just not to make your expectations too high I must add that it's a first basic attempt at an AI, and mostly an example to test/show the AI system. Should make single player games more fun though, and it will be improved on in upcoming releases, so a lot to look forward.)
