Want to get your game noticed? After almost 2 years of hard work, Indie Ignition has finally entered open Beta (Indie-ignition.com). It is a distribution platform that gets your games into the hands of YouTube Let’s Play channels. And the best part? It’s completely free with 0% commission on sales. We’ve got serious interest from major players in the Let’s Play community so this is your chance to get your game on the platform before it gets too crowded. We’re opening up registration to Let’s Play channels tomorrow so don’t delay!

It’d also be great to get feedback on the site during the Beta period. If you have any comments or questions feel free to post them below. Good luck!

This seems like a wonderful system... one thing that does bug me is this though. What if you want one particular Ytuber to play your game, because you like how they interact with it.

For example Jacksepticeye is probably my favorite 'let's play' channel on ytube, everything he plays I want to play, all because of him. It doesn't matter if I have already beaten it, never liked the concept or game play, or don't yet own it, I want to pick it up after watching him. Then there are other channels who (I don't really want to name) and everything they play I just loose all interest in. I mean if Jaden Smith has taught us anything, it is that the spotlight can be focused on anyone but A) People have to want to watch you, in order to remain the focus of the spotlight and B) People hate being told who they have like.

So it becomes a question of quantity of exposure vs. quality of exposure... But that's a developers point of view, those ytuber's are probably complaining about some of us to. Anyway point is, is this a better system then just contacting the let's play channels you like and seeing if there interested in playing your game (and hopefully seeing a cascading effect)? I don't know as I have never really 'seeked out' mass media attention.

I never but the you in ytube, cause google knows what I'm talking about.

Looks like a cool idea and I have seen your post somewhere else.

im also curious how you go about selecting individuals. Im interested handing out early access but not just for anyone.

looking forward to your reply!

Looks cool - submitted my game and will see how it goes!

I submitted, under review for days... nothing... good idea, but a bit of a let down really.
