I think humans can be stupid at times . We can be blinded by our will for power and not realism that we are killing innocent people. I don't want to become the next Hitler. I'll become an artist ! -- If the game start to lag for no reason it's my falt ):>{O |

Man, i had no idea about those paintings. Hitler really had some talents, huh. The only thing that can be worse then a bad man is a good man... |

Youtube.com I would have bribed the art academy that originally rejected him, so that when he went to apply, he'd actually get in.. War avoided. He only joined the army because he got rejected from Art school- when he joined the army he became a spy, that spy infiltrated the Socialist Party.. took it over and became ruler of Germany. I've written essays on this before, that it was the entire fault of Art elitism that caused hitler to do what he did- and Art Elitism that should be the major blame for the war even occuring- if Hitler had become an accomplished artist he'd never had done the evil things he eventually did. He was very passionate about art if you read Mein Kampf, stating that his father was pissed at him because it wasn't a prestigious role in society and it wouldn't pay much, but he wanted to do it, and when denied he found an outlet via the war- and then became leader of a country based on the contacts he made during the war. If the art industry at the time hadn't been so elitist and selective on "Who" could be an artist, then he would have lived a very forfilled life and eventually loose his hatred towards the jewish- because he'd be in a position of prosperity just as they were- and he would have no more reason to hate them- other than competition, which is healthy so long as its not racist. And his paintings are actually really good, I'm surprised he was rejected. Instead what we see is someone fueled entirely by his hatred of everyone and everything- replacing one elitism with another, what he did was pure hypocracy and he gets no sympathy for that- he twisted his own story into one that made him out to be a patriot rather than a failed artist- he completely lied, he was a failed artist and he hated everyone in society for rejecting him- he found an outlet in violence, though at the time many would have considered this to be "heroic", though today we know it'd be "STUPID" because all it leads to is death and suffering- Hitler would eventually loose his sight temporarily during the war from gas attack- so he was stupid to take a risk simply for such an outlet. (he was not a conscript, he willingly joined.) |

The problem with all these "what if?"'s is they oversimplify a lot of things. 1930's Germany was not a happy place - if Hitler hadn't have done something radical, someone else would have stepped in instead. so.... we need to prevent the miserable conditions in 1930's Germany that allowed extremist views to become mainstream. The dominant cause of that was the punitive terms placed on Germany by the victors of WW1. Prevent WW1 and Germany would never get so extremist.... ...and WW1 started as a result of Gavrilo Princip assassinating Duke Ferdinand. But again that was just the trigger - Europe at the time had been skirmishing for a long time, and alliances were in place dividing Europe into two sides just waiting for an excuse to declare war. We need to defuse Europe... ...which has been fighting on and off for as long as history has been recorded, probably longer. Thus we arrive at the optimal solution given the assumption that time travel is possible. Skip to the future, acquire some sort of nanobot-automated mass assembly gubbins, take said tech back to the neolithic era and set up the internet a few millennia early. Humanity skips straight to Lolcats, Rickrolling and Goatse, skipping armed conflict entirely. Epic win achieved -- "lets say Portal is a puzzle game, so its a rehash of Tetris" |

Ah, yet another person that theorizes that the internet will be the key to world peace ... I was beginning to think maybe I was wrong I've always looked back on villains of the past and the stories and wondered if it was their fault for not being strong willed or if it was societies fault for shaping these personalities ... Let's face it, people/society is cold, really cold. We simply care too much about ourselfves to care about others. For example, today I heard a car alarm go off in the parking lot, however I didn't even get up and look out the window to see if someone's car was being stolen because I knew it wasnt my car ... I even briefly thought "hey, someone could be in trouble ... nah, ill keep working on my homework". This seems to be a common issue of someone seeing someone else in help, but deciding to either ignore it or let someone else handle it. Why do we condition ourselves to be like this? I actually think about that subject quite often and realize that the only way I could possibly change society for the better is if I started taking actions to help those in need. However, I don't ... whenever I'm confronted with that opportunity ... I chicken out ... why? Probably because we are people who's actions are easily manipulated by society. Yay behavior paradox! |

Ok easy solution to stopping both WW1 and WW2, stop Wilhelm the 2nd from ever taking power and somehow make his Father live longer so that Germany can be Liberalized into a Democracy (Which would have happened if Wilhelm didn't fuck everything up.) Liberalized Germany + Alliance with Britain == No war with Germany. However the problems with Russia would still occur, so this solution isn't 100%. The Collapse of Russia's Monarch and the rise of Communism is something that would be difficult to fix. |

I say no. Leave the timeline. Mainly because if Hitler is dead than someone else is going to take his place. WW2 has to happen no matter what because of the way the world was at that time. It only took 1 country to get all this going and everything fell apart, people had way too many allies and eventually people were fighting for a completely different reason. Hitler is not WW2 or the Nazi's, so killing him does nothing. As for Russia/other countries, I don't think it would matter at that point in time who attacked who...WW2 would still happen, it may not be as bad or it may be worse but it would still happen. |

Interesting topic. I would never kill a baby, because it's a society what shapes and forms a personality in the future. The world we all live in. It's not Hitler who was the pure evil / devil and all other names people call him, because it's the system that gave birth to that side of human nature. It's amazing how he managed to bring a whole nation together for one cause. Anyways, economy sucks and even today nothing much has changed, except that we [humans] have better technology, bunch of graveyards to remind us how that technology is used, but unemployment and debt are a constant for generations. Those who have seen Zeitgeist know what I'm talking about... |

this is not a very difficult question. I would not kill baby Hitler, but even if i did, there is a high chance that i will change the future to high extents, and these extents could cause me to never be born. This would in turn say that i never existed so therefore i couldn't have killed baby Hitler and so i never did it. Therefore killing him would be nullified and you would be brought back to the exact moment before you killed him. |

Hmm ... I don't think people really were considering the actual physical capability of time travel within this hypothetical scenario This is the same reason why "robot voice genious guy" (can't think of the name ... only 2 hours of sleep last night) theorizes that time travel to the past is impossible (sort of) ... |

Why only kill Hitler, why not every person (and Justin Bieber) who started a war and prevent them from ever happening. |
