I plan to make a doom remake but I have two questions. 1: Would I put it in the mods page or in the games page. Cause those who are interested would problably look for a doom mod in the mods page. But what I plan to make is a REMAKE, not a mod. So technically, it would be a game but it's going to be very similar to the original doom except it's gonna have hd graphics, 3d monsters, etc. But interested peaple would problaby look for a doom MOD. So where should I put the remake? And 2: Since it's a remake and not the original game, would it be legal to play it if you don't own the original doom? Those are my questions.

1. Depends on many things. Would it be made on a Doom source derived engine (not the original doom engine)? Then you could put in in Games section. If your remake would still require Doom to run, then it would have to be added as a Doom mod.

2. Not completely, unless all graphical/code assets are your own and you only use a fan-made Doom engine based on the Doom source code as a base.
Simply remade assets don't really count as fully "your own", but if you made your own HD models/textures from scratch that would complicate things - as those would be your own assets, but they still would be based on proprietary Doom designs.

Considering all, you still should put it in Doom mods section and require people to own the original Doom game, well it is your choice.
