So, I'm a new concept artist/storywriter, just started yesterday, and I have an idea for a game, I can't upload my files as of now because scanning takes forever (Wait about 30 minutes to an hour from this post, so I can get my crappy sketches on the internet)

I have an idea for a game, on the source engine. the problem is it is an ambitious game, and I have no money to pay people. (and I have no idea how to use the source engine for mapping or coding, the way textures work blows my mind, and all the free programs for Modelling are shit [milk.exe is the closest I can get to an adequate modelling program]. Living the Poor boy's Dream, I guess.)

If ever released, I will probably release it as a series, from different points of view ( The first one is going to be from the point of view of a combine soldier) this will be set in the "Original" half life universe, that is the planned unreleased one, with custom models along with a custom idea:

I will need a competent Mapper, at least as competent as the mapper of Moddb.com a small mod that I found to be very thrilling.

a Texturer, also good at their Job, going off my concepts and the darkness of half life 2

Modeller, going off the same things as the texturer.

and a Coder, as well. All work is unpaid, and will be rewarded with a (hopefully) high quality mod.

This Mods name will be called either Transhuman: the Resistance, Transhuman Resistance, or Transhuman: Resistance

The ridiculous idea is this:

What if the mind wipe practiced by the combine failed? what if they remembered... human instincts? Justice, Fear, Empathy. I realize they would be killed by the Combine, but what if they escaped? That's what this mod is about.

My speculation also applies to Stalkers. (complain if you will, this will be discussed in game)

this is impossible to apply to Cremators, as they are practically undead, and super Soldier Combines, as the "Promotion" is too in-depth.

My sketches include a new weapon, A sketch of a model for the Transhuman Resistance (or the Main character, in which case I will need to design more), the Stalker for the Resistance, the Doctor who operates on you, and the opening room/scene.

~~~~30 minutes later
I posted a few of the sketches in my media page, they really suck, I'm more into building the story. I'll improve them if I can. the PX-5's weird Design is on purpose, and I can redesign the handle, but I rather like the unorthodox position of the clip. I'm debating on whether to make it look like a cross (extending the flash muzzle) or keep it flat, like it is currently on the front.
I like the idea you have for the game, but it is very unlikely that you find the talent you are looking for, if you have so little to offer. Have a look at this: Moddb.com and develop a GDD (Game Design Document). You should finish the whole storywriting before recruiting, if you cannot offer anything besides storywriting. The concept art you provided is too amateurish to be really used by the people you ask for here. Finish the game idea first and break it down to a prototype (only the most important game mechanics). Then, start recruiting to build that prototype. Starting right now with an ambitious project is going to fail due to your lack of experience in game development. You have to break your idea down at some point, better do it now. But again, I think the idea of the story is interesting, so do not let my words demotivate you in any way.
Best wishes,
Kjell
Your words confirmed my fears. I cannot draw, against my will, due to impairment of growth in my frontal lobe.
I shall follow this, developing the GDD. However, Due to my ineptitude at source mapping and trying to model, (Unless I'm misunderstanding your meaning of prototype) I'm, when I eventually reach prototype stage, going to need help, or training (or both). I will continually try to improve my artwork to higher quality, as I try to train my frontal lobe.
I already have an opening level/sequence for this planned out, and in my head, at least, (and on paper) it looks good.
