Wii Modding Thread

Hello everyone, I would just like to inform people about the fact that Wii modding is only possible illegaly, or only with Nintendo's approval. This goes for games with Nintendo characters in regular PC mods as well (unless they are altered to be atleast different in about 5 different ways).

So, unless you send an E-mail to Nintendo explaining your mod, and why they should allow you to make it, you may be told to cease the production of the mod.

But, it is probably known that you should ask the company for the approval when making a game using their characters before you get to far along. The only reason Nintendo would not allow these things is because they don't approve of a game using their own characters that will create some form of competition to their own games(even if It's free).

So, the point of a Wii section is probably going to be unused, unless Nintendo allows modding for one of their upcoming games that haven't been spoken of yet.

It is also to be used for homebrew, which is not illegal. Modding games on the Wii is just flat out not possible.
