Who has played Republic at War Mod? Thread

I recently added the mod for republic at war and it likes to keep freezing on me. Like it draws up the little blue hollow circle from time to same to signal that it is loading.. I am not sure if there is a way to fix this or if I should just try and wait when it does this. If anyone has some expertise, it would be greatly appreciated.

turn all the settings at low and if there is bitmapping turn that low basically just graphics if that doesnt work Not sure.

I need serious help im trying to install this mod and its super complicated (atleast to me) after finally downloading it im totally lost, normally mods are just download + ttheir added and I simply need to activate them (my heaviest modded game is civilization V much easier) I got no clue what to do with all the files and locations extracting and unzipping. It's extremely stressful id like some help step by step as im totally lost.
