When searching for artists ? Thread

Hello guys and girls !Except the job section here, I was wondering when people are searching for concept artists or illustrators for their projects, which websites are usually the ones to find talent in ? Thanks !

When ? It all depends on the projects. Some projects need concept artist at the absolute beginning before even any code or modeling is done, when simple notes on storyline are finished. Some don't ever use concept artist (which may lead to unnecessary freezes at work). Overall concept artist is the most helpful at the start of the project but they stay for the entirety of it. To guide and help with creative implementations. Sometimes even the best 3d artist needs a little push with few concept artist.

When it comes to what sites. Usually, you can find a lot of jobs applications and artist them selfs on the forums of popular engines. In Unreal, Unity and Creative forums you can find "Got skill? Looking for work?" section.
