ok so im happy with the model of my shot gun and half of it was already textured and i want the rest textured so i can use it in my game(I think thats how its done ) heres the pictures of it so far. can you plz tell me how to texture it in a step by step video or tut.thx this is the shot gun shaded and what parts of it are textured,thx btw it was done in xsi mod tool.and its for a half life mod in source. this is also my first model EVER so some CONSTRUCTIVE critism might help Edited by: figalot |

the constructive part: not sure how hl2 handles models, but I know some games don't do double sided textures because you can't tell it to, so you'll see inside the gin @ the front (if it's a 3rd person model too). Looks good imho. Only complaint I have is that it's the same type of shotgun EVERYONE makes & almost every game has! -- Go play some Quake 2: q2server.fuzzylogicinc.com |

As best I can tell, those faces don't even exist. The standard/default HL2 view weapons tend to omit any unneeded faces, so often the entire right-side of the guns are never modeled. As for unwrapping the weapon, there used to be several videos on the topic. Unfortunately Autodesk swept them all up into the completely unorganized 'Area', so now finding them is a much harder task. You can find a few videos at the bottom of Community.softimage.com and probably many more on other pages. |

If i had time to make a video for you i would but unfortunately i have too much stuff going on at the moment between work, car issues, and house falling apart things. i have been using mod tool for a while now and i do know how to do this. |
