An example of the final class, the Light. Fast, maneuverable, but dear god don't get hit. 11,493 polies, really gotta bring it down.
And all three together:

I worked more on the base mesh for the bat creature today. This is what it currently looks like: Edited by: ngs616 |

I like the ships, looks nicely detailed. The chest on this bat creature looks a bit like old woman's breasts that have started to hang down... -- Quote:How about I give you the phonecall and you give me my finger! |

It is a little elongated but it doesn't look anything like an old woman's breasts to me. I do need to touch it up a little it's like that because i was increasing the size of his upper body. Thanks for the input. EDIT: I fixed it up some. Edited by: ngs616 |

I'm almost finished with this level of the base mesh; aside from the head. It is at 4566 polygons. This is what it looks like so far: EDIT 07/09: Edited by: ngs616 |

A sketch i drew about a year ago. It's not from any real gun. Sort of based off of an AR-15. |

Ooh. I did a little research on bats, watched the ones outside a little. Looked at some images of them on google. Then i sketched out some of the body parts for the concept, turned them into models, and peiced them together. Then i spent some time detailing it. I'll make a head for it soon and then put some proper texturing on it. By the way the texturing and lighting on your drawing is great. It is coming along very nice. Edited by: ngs616 |

Don't know why but that bat texture looks like a sausage... yummy |

haha yeah. It's just the color bump shader in zbrush and a simple texture. The saturated pink suggests that they are thick.(*sausage) They need to be toned down because thick wings would not only be heavier, but put a drag on it's maneuverability. Bats can maneuver extremely well. So, i'll eventually tone them down and I'm wanting to try using an alpha channel to make the wings slightly transparent. ..but that is after i get around to making the head and a detailed texture @unknowntarget: those are some awesome vehicles. I've done some tweaks to my character.. added a modelled tongue, so I can animate it, face got longer, took away some spike things from arms, made butt cheeks rounder.. I think I'll do some little tweaks to the biceps, everytime I've started sculpting in zbrush, the biceps have been positioned a bit bad... then I've had to use "force"

The model in general looks awesome Jimi... But I gotta say... The lower legs (from 2nd rear knee downward) and feet look a little weird in comparison to the (upper) rest of the model. Edited by: Orion |

I agree with Orion, the feet look too big and bright, maybe make them slightly smaller? Overall though i think the model is coming along nicely! Keep up the good work. -- I can't do much, but i can use

It's the ankle... I wanted it to have big feet hmm.. bright.. heh.. It's just something I've not been able to remove from the lights, they just like to hit the feet so much, but that's not really an issue, lighting changes when it's in game, animated, etc.. Well, maybe I'll make them a bit smaller now that I'm doing some tweaks to it.. Edited by: Jimi |

If you made the lower leg (2nd knee down through shin and ankle) a little thinner with detail to a large calf muscle etc. then maybe it would look much better? Right now the front view of that lower leg looks pretty wide and far too flat. The feet could still stay as large as they are if tweaked the right way (and with webbing as ya said)? But that's jus' my opinion on it! lol |

Good work jimi. I just think the same thing the legs are looking a little odd. I photoshopped it really quick i think it would look better if you cut some of his bottom limb out. |
