To the first ever Mod of the Year awards. Its our aim to make these the premier mod awards recognised by the entire gaming community. I'm confident that come 2 months when the votes are tallyed and winners announced.. that this will indeed be the case! |

This is the kind of thing we've been waiting for all this time, since its been an honor for teams to win the MOTM, I can't wait to congratulate the winner of MOTY. Its also great that you made it popular vote, and not a staff descision, thats what modding is about to me, community. I have no doubt that you and the staff will make these succeed. |

I anticipate the Golden Spanner Mod of the Year awards to become an unprecedented competition; it will hopefully attract up to tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of users of the course of the competition. The userbase will increase dramatically, and modDB's community will increase dramatically. The competition will show modDB for what it is - the essential and definitive site for mods. It is a brilliant idea, and I myself anticipate not only the results of the competition, but also what changes and effects this brilliant competition will have on the community. This will establish the Mod Database as the premium website for modder and gamer alike! --

Wow, this is great. So many mods are up for this award However, games such as The Specialists and Insurgency have definitely got the chance of getting at least one of these awards. Hopefully, Masamune Project will be in contention next year, but this year, it's going to look great -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

(if you can tell) Well all the game publishing houses. Valve, ID, Activision etc.. and trying to get through to the big-boys like Nvidia, ATI, AMD etc.. working on it.. but this year it seems unlikly that we will sign up any huge names. 2005 maybe a while off but we definately should sign up some big fellas then |

Please folks, don't be shy with your nominations. However, keep in mind that to be in contention for MOTY you must excel in all categories of game modding. Sound, graphics, gameplay, and overall presentation all come into question. Having a great idea means nothing if it doesn't translate into solid gaming. So let's hear some nominations, then! Feel free to make topics, let's just keep the nominations serious and with lots of discussion. |

It would rule to be the inaugural MotY winner. But winning it any year would be an awesome achievement. Obviously this year has to include all mods ever. But in future years is it only going to be for mods released in that year? Edited by: Jihad_Jeep |

Yeah, if there were a Modder of The Year award, I would give my vote to you, StuffMasters, because of your incredible humor. Your idea's really do put the WTF back into games. --

You go to the mod page, and a quarter of the way down the page, that's where you vote Edited by: Karuto -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |
