I was hyped up about the first, and extremely hyped up about the second, but as most of you know the second halo felt like a WIP. |

if they were smart they would release a patch for halo1 pc because it is still very much alive. i have not plated halo3 yet, mainly because of its awesome to fail ratio. |

halo 3's fun. it's not the best game ever, doesnt live up to the hype (with all due respect there's no game that possibly could live up to the hype microsoft generated for halo 3). Overall I think that the SP, MP and Forge together make for a pretty stellar package - not a package which truly justifies the money, investment, fanboyism or hype - but a solid package for what it is. there's too much bullshit surrounding halo from both fanboys and critics alike - it's just a game like any other, take it for what it is. It's pretty average. If it had keyboard and mouse support I might bother playing it, but I was never of fan of the clunky-sticks, especially for Halo. |

I think the multiplayer design was pretty solid, I appreciate that in a game. The singleplayer had more potential than we give it credit for but people give way more credit for what the single player actually is. I mean, the story is actually pretty cool, it's just that its told sloppily. Oh, and you have to admit the music is amazing. The AI is not necessarily smart to play against, but I think it's entertaining to play against, which is what counts. I'm actually a fan of controllers. They're make for a more tight control scheme most of the time and pulling an actual trigger give a lot more immersion than just pressing a button. For people who say that they can't turn around fast I don't think people actually have super sliding feet that can move more smooth than a Michael Jackson moonwalk. |

I'm more worried about the extreme difficulty in pointing at things. If a mouse had a trigger (more akin to a joystick), I'd probably get one. |

For me, mouse control is about the reduced brain friction. With a mouse, I can choose where I want to look and more or less look where I wanted. On a stick, I often have to think about how to move the stick to make the game move where I want it to. When I'm thinking about how to make the pad do what I want rather than just doing it, I'm not immersed in the game. Sure I can't turn my body quite that fast and accurate in real life, but I can move my head, arms body and legs separately. I can look over my shoulder without having to move my whole body, which lets me see what's behind me very quickly. Until games can read thoughts straight out of our brains, no control scheme will ever represent that independence of sight and movement directions perfectly, and mouse control is the compromise that comes closest for me. Plus - it's a game. Surely games are about being more powerful than our real-life selves, not less able -- "lets say Portal is a puzzle game, so its a rehash of Tetris" |

The two things that are annoying in Halo 3 for me, is the STUPID Marine AI. For some reason Bungie never managed to make the Marine AI intelligent in the slightest, while the convenant blow our arses up. The other thing was the annoying Difficulty curves. It went up and down, hard and easy, to insanely beyond the scope of legendary. Well the story was a little confusing to follow as well. -- snetErz.com - Web Design |

If someone here doesn't like Halo - then they should stop playing video games completly and should be buried alive with the pristeen copy of Rise of the Robots on the Genesis - hmm mayby also ET Yes two games that almost crashed the gaming market about 12 years ago... Halo Combat Evolved was the best halo in the series, they had all the aspects of it in place perfectly, especially the campaign. (The story behind it i mean) As drnco_man said before about them squeezing another game out of this franchise - Halo 4 - well i hate to imform you but they won't. They will be making a completly different game (Based on the Halo Novels - if anyone could be bothered to read them). No more convernant in the next one! And it won't be about a Halo. I could be wrong, but the no covernant is true. Laters! Edited by: General_Atrox |

The hell are you talking about? No one is obliged to like Halo at all. I can't stand the game. Its well polished for what it is, its well marketed, but I just don't enjoy the game. |

Awww, doesn't it make you nostalgic? I remember when I used to say similar things about Doom. Give it a few years and all the Halo fans will be the ones saying "No, honestly! When it was new it was really amazing.Next big thing is just the same game as Halo but with some next-gen fluff added." ...and what ever game topples Halo from the current pedestal, I will still be playing UT of some flavour or another -- "lets say Portal is a puzzle game, so its a rehash of Tetris" |

if this is serious then I'm afraid that never before have I witnessed such an example of chronic dysentery spew forth from someones fingers. If on the other hand its a joke, kudos on your hilarious parody of elitist gamer fanboy turds! It was very convincing -- Koroshiya Ichi |

What's wrong with that? 300+ calories per bottle and loads of caffeine are a great way to get fueled for extensive hours of playing forge with freinds. |

There's this little entity called the Flood too, and races (and groups within those races) other than those that choose to join the Covenant. I grasped that without reading the books, or playing all the way through the 3rd game. Go figure. |
