Want to mod a specific game? Thread

There are games that can be modded like ElderOfScrolls. And there are games that aren't meant to be modded by the community. Because the developers haven't shared the editor to the public. But still the "hackers" programmers who manage to modified the game files in a game can make it possible.

Anyway, I wanted to know what game you want to mod even if isn't currently possible. So what game is it?

Hi .Vampirecat, This is my first time on the forum and I have some background with c++. I honestly just want to program something at the moment. If I could work on any game, however, it would probably be in Half-life, despite that it's probably the most commonly modded game out there. Partially because they use c++ and partially because I love many half life mods out there.

I wan't to mod a game called e's laf (a japanese doujin fighting game) to make the netcode actually playable...similar to what was done with another game (melty blood) where something called cccaster was made which vastly improved the netcode from the original game, even recently added rollback (only lord knows how).

Been trying to do some googling to find out where I would even need to start (i'm not in a great rush, would end up being a long term spare time sort of thing that i'd do with a friend) but no clue where or how to start
