Game design document? Didn't get what you meant straight away but a pitch document is something you always need to help build a concept design.

Basically your design document will be an explanation of your game, your choice of engine and graphics, some sort of mood board/ concept art, and all the considerations you will approach and how you will overcome them.  you should be detailed in each section like; Characters, Environment, Items, Enemies, Platform, Genre, Demographics, Age range, etc.   

type game design document into google search and check out the second link.  I highly recommend reading it.
