Hi!

I've been moving across 3 different computers/laptops recently, and on a couple occasions, felt like picking up a Desura game and playing it, only to realise that my saves were only on one of them. With the use of an internet connection, would it be possible to implement a feature that allows you to select specific games to upload the saves to the same affect as the 'Steam Cloud' system? This would be awesome, especially because some of the games are so small and can be downloaded within minutes, if not less.

I think the main problem is that the game it's self needs to do somepart towards this which not all developers will be willing to do. :-s
And also it's an exspensive feature to run. You may want to look up methods of fake "steam cloud"ing using DropBox. I've heard people doing this with Skyrim (which isn't supported by steam cloud.)
Hope this helps.

Ooh thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it :)! Yeah I guess being an indie developer would usually mean you don't want to spend extra funds on a feature like that

Make a bat file that you can run to copy your save folders to a portable USB drive?  Some games are account or user tied so that might now work.

Steam does it - Desura should also.
