Uploading file(s) problem Thread

I have this same problem, on both my Mac and my PC. I get to the applet and it doesn't load, it says in the browser's status bar:

error:java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:javax/imageio/stream/ImageInputStream.

I then updated my Mac's Java, rebooted and retried. I still get the error.

I tried once on my PC, had the same error - but I haven't updated it's Java yet.

I've tried both Mac IE and Mac Firefox. What might be going on?

Hey nevermind, I updated the PC's Java and the applet had loaded. Still wonder why it didn't work on the Mac - would think Java is pretty universal...

hmm, interesting. we choose java because it should work irrespective of the OS the user is running.

I shall look into this, but there isn't much we can do
