Uploading File Thread

I tried to upload a file (.rar) from my PC for my game, but for an unknown reason it always stops at about 70% and says uploading coulnt be completed. I tried two times with the same result. Why does this happen?

Firewall? Browser? PC specs? Location?

Possibilities are endless there my friend. Try to give us some detail. How big is the file? What format is the file?

Never had any firewall problems. The file is an 48533 KB .rar file. Im using Opera, may this be the reason? Im having trouble with all kinds of uploaders on moddb somehow...

I've had trouble uploading a file as well, I was going to upload the installer for the Firearms mod for Half-Life 1 (about 180MB) and at just before 50% it stops and says there was an error, that's happened 3 times. I can upload videos and everything else I just can't upload that file.

If the page times out it will say there is an error but most times if you leave it it will complete the upload any way.

yes, if you leave it on if it times out, just let it run and it will fix itself.

Its not the upload timing out but the script to check the progress of the upload.

i tryed to upload again and it stopped after about 40% ( 2 hours or so) i left it loading for another hour and nothing happened.

how big is it

have you had any problems uploading in the past?

I never tried to upload a game file before, all I can say is that Ihad some trouble with the image uploaders aswell.
