Martin.dahlin.net

I did a complete overhaul of the site: new design, new looks, completely javascript independent and it works on mobile devices and all the big browsers (IE, FF, Chrome, Opera, Safari, Chrome for android, iOS native browser, Android native browser). I also added a "tools" -section - something that I know is just going to expand and expand the more I cave into tech art.The old portfolio hadn't been updated for 2 years - which was a bit shameful.

So this new one at least have more content, but I still feel that I miss some more "realistic" art pieces; I've been working on mobile games for almost two years now and I feel that I might get a bit out of touch with that style of art if I don't do any new project. The grimy restroom scene, the cryo chamber and the Mac are old and don't really reflect my current skills, but I'm not sure if I should "refurbish" some of those projects though or just start on something new - what do you think?Feedback is always welcome ofc. And if you spot any spelling errors please let me know. Thanks!

Good work with the site! I like the way the pages slide in when changing to another part of the website. The design in general looks simple, but good. It isn't too boring, but the colors aren't annoying. About your portfolio I enjoyed very much that it was really easy to see what you have worked on, and then to choose what was interesting. my personal opinion is that your "Grimy Restroom" is the best piece of your work, while the "Generator" was my least favored model.
Generally your site isn't too long, but still gives a good idea of what you can do, what you have done, and who you are. Good job!

Hi Martin!

At first glance I thought that your website wouldn't be compatible with so many browsers and on mobile since it has some quite "fancy" functions, so great work with that.

I want to comment on something that I did similarly to you once but changed it due to having people complaining about it. On the portfolio page you have "slices" of each game showing the title of the project and this is something you might not want to do - why? Because when you browse through someones portfolio page you want an overview of the projects and a look into what they're about OR see something that is interesting enough to click on (in my opinion a project-title is not), you don't want to click in on every project in order to see what it really is. On a second note, I don't think you should use different text-styles for each project title - get a standard for the titles and use it to make it look more clean and proffessional.

Philip Coulianous, who you might or might not know of, does this well: Filip.coulianos.se

I think that's the things that came into my mind, you're really onto something so keep up the good work.

Best of luck!
